The fit is ok and the length is good (I got a 4P and I am 5'4"). Unfortunately the styling leaves something to be desired. The stitching is in copper/gold color thread. They put a double seam stitch (using this thread) on the outer seam of the leg. Geez, LLBean, it's 2014! I thought the Signature line would be modern enough to avoid a heavy double seam on the outer leg (instead of on the inseam), because it just makes any woman look wider and just emphasizes the outer hip and leg line in an unflattering way! Also, I'm just not that crazy about the denim material. Sort of dull and frumpy looking. Bummed, because I wanted to like these.

Thes run slightly smaller through the hip area than the True Shape Boot Cut ones. So, that's good to know if you're between sizes.

I received them today, size 8 dark -indigo-11" flare. I tried them on and my only complaint is the waist gaps in the back about an inch because I'm curvy, but nothing a tailor can't easily remedy. I'm 5' 6" and the length (33 1/2") is not to long that I can't wear flats/small heels.
The fit reminds me of "juniors" as opposed to "misses".The weight of the fabric is perfect! Not heavy, like traditional denim, but also not too thin either. I would compare the weight to a pair of dark denim stretch flare, Michael Kors and LRL (Lauren Jeans Co-Ralph Lauren) jeans I have. The material looks more like tradional, than "dress" denim.
When I put my hand (M/L) in the front pockets they cover my fingers up to my palm (3 3/4")
They button approximately one inch below my navel, ( just like the other ones meantioned above) which I need so when I sit down, my tummy is covered.
If they made the waistband similar to the LRL jeans, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
They feel super comfortable. If not for the gap in the waistband, I would have given them 5 stars.

I was skeptical, but decided to try these jeans anyway. The flare bottom balances out a pear-shaped butt and thighs. The material looks great. The high rise waist is thinning. I'm a size 12 and 5'7, I found these jeans to be very flattering and look great with flats. Will be wearing these to work and out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Coastal66 Not for me
I loved the feel of the fabric and the color (light indigo wash) when I unwrapped these jeans, and couldn't wait to try them on. I'm so tire of dark wash jeans, and these reminded me of the light wash ones I had a few years ago when you could still find them. Unfortunately, the size 8 was way too small in the waist. As a devotee of Not Your Daughter's Jeans, I read another review that said these were comparable, but they're not in my opinion. The waist sits way lower and hits the heaviest part of my middle, which gives me a horrible muffin top. They are made for a young model with a figure like the one in the photo, not a 66 year old with a less-than-sleek waistline. This is honestly the first time I have ordered something from LL Bean that I couldn't wear, as I have been a customer for years.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Beezel Nice fabric, odd fit
I wanted to like these because they felt nice. Unfortunately they have a problem that I run into occasionally where the thighs, although tight and slightly stretchy, somehow slide down when I walk and make them uncomfortable with extra fabric in the crotch. Even with a belt they still creep down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ilovebooks Very Flattering
I purchased these jeans hoping that they would be dressy enough for casual office days and I wasn't disappointed - they are very nice. I purchased the dark wash in a 0 regular (5'5"/105") and I agree with other reviewers that out of the bag, the length is a little long and the waist gaps a bit. I washed them in hot and dried on high and they shrunk to a perfect length for a 3" heel. I always wear belts anyway so the waist isn't an issue for me. The flare is very flattering and the wash is fine for casual office wear. Throw on a button down, blazer, and scarf for a chic yet professional look. I am definitely coming back for the lighter wash for the warmer months.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Inky4LLBean Good flare
So far so good. I just got these jeans. Based on the reviews I got the size 4 in the light wash. I am 5'7" and 135. I have muscly legs so a flare is much better for me than a straight cut. These are great, nice wide flare, really soft, they have a lot of gray in the blue. I might give them a day or two and order the other color. They do gap in the back, but I'm willing to compromise for the fit in the leg.

Rated 2 out of 5 by rebound Thin, baggy and not worth the money
These jeans are not even close to being worth what they cost.
They are thin and get baggier with each hour you wear them.
The length is good if you like to wear your jeans with heels
and the flare is large, which I prefer. But the fact that they
get bigger and bigger as the day wears on negates any
of their redeeming qualities. The price is not in line at all
with their quality. You can do much better than these jeans
for half the price--or even less. I would never buy them again
nor tell a friend to.
