These are the boots/ moccasins I've been looking for for the last 30+ years . They are soft warm and extremely comfortable. I purchased them about two months ago and are pretty much the only shoes I've worn since.
One word of warning though. I have very narrow (AA) feet and to get a truly tight fit must wear socks underneath.
The boots remind me of something an elf from J.R.R Tolkiens books would wear. Which is exactly what I've been looking for for the last 30+ years.

These boots keep my feet nice and warm. I wear a 6.5, and since it seemed that these ran on the large size, I bought a 6. They are a little snug, but being a moccasin style, I am hoping they will stretch out. The first time I wore them for several hours, the toes were pinching on one foot, but otherwise they are very comfortable. I look forward to getting a lot of winter wear from them.

First time wearing did not want to take them off, wonderful! I have enjoyed your products and customer service for more than 20 years. The logo on your products provides opportunities to refer others to you. These were selling out so fast it took two months to finally order them. Thank you, everything always excellent!

I bought these as a gift for my daughter and she absolutely loves them. She said they are the best slipper booty she has ever owned and hates taking them off. They keep her warm all over.

Excellent shoes for people with "Raynaud's phenomenon". For many people, having cold feet is not related to poor circulation, but rather to this condition where your feet turn white even when it's not extremely cold.
I bought many pairs of slippers in the past, and so far, these are the only ones that keep my feet cosy and pink. I even wore them to go to work one morning and couldn't take them off! I wore them in the office all day!
Finally, my feet don't "overheat" in these boots. They're perfect.
I live in a wintery part of Canada and would not use them as winter boots. I only wish I could find a pair of winter boots and office shoes that would keep my feet from turning white. These slippers certainly did the trick for indoors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LourdesElle More lined boots with this kind of sole, please!
I've had a few non LL Bean boots w the lining and this overall look and concept- we all know that other more expensive brand. These are nicer. They fit my feet great, but I have average width feet and small ankles. They are adjustable somewhat so it shouldn't be a problem if you have bigger calves and ankles. I'd size up if you're in doubt or between sizes. I'm usually an 8.5 and the 9 fits great. There's not a lot of extra room. My favorite thing about these boots is the sole. It makes a huge difference when your sole has a little flexibility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DishCB Best Slipper I've Ever Owned!
I live in a ski town at 9000'. It's cold or chilly 9 of 12 months. My feet get colder than most due to poor circulation. I hunt high and low for a good slipper or slipper-shoe that keeps my feet and ankles comfy and offers good quality that I hope will last a few years. Obviously I'm willing to invest in this type of non-shoe footwear and am 100% pleased with the Lodge Boot!!! Fit, looks, feel, style, quality, warmth - all top notch. No other product has done as good a job.
REGARDING SIZE, they run small on me. I'm a 9 in almost every shoe I own. But the 9 in this boot was too short. The 10 is perfect. (Same thing happened with another Wicked Good slipper a long time ago, so it must be a Wicked Good sizing thing.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by GhostFox Great HOUSESHOES (not marketed as outdoor boots!)
The negative comments I've seen all seem to focus on the fact that these don't have heavy outdoor soles. I'm not sure how much clearer LL Bean can be that these are boot-styled slippers intended primarily for indoor use, with just enough of a sole to go to the mailbox or let the dog out. That's what I bought them for, and for this use they're awesome.
I wear a 6.5, sometimes medium and sometimes wide widths. I ordered the 7; the length fits fine, but they couldn't be any tighter across the point where the toes join the main part of the foot and still be comfortable (however, I'm still breaking them in, and they may loosen up more in time as the shearling molds to my feet). Wide widths be warned.
I feel if you have to wear socks with your houseshoes/slippers, it defeats the purpose of slippers. :) These solve the problem of having cold ankles once and for all. They're the perfect height to not leave exposed skin when worn with Bean's long flannel nightgowns!
