Rated 2 out of 5 by WillChris Not slim straight by any means
I own several pairs of LLB Signature slim straight pants that I love - jeans, canvas, cords - and these are not even close to the same cut. They are very baggy. They even say "Reg" on the tags. If you're looking for a modern cut, don't buy these. The quality seems fine otherwise, but honestly, I didn't have them on long enough to tell before they went back in the bag to return.

Yes, they fit nicely (though already slightly wrinkled out of the package). However, they came out of the dryer looking like a hippo's backside!! "Light ironing" does not begin to cover what is needed. My loving wife looked at them, laughed and said, "These were your idea." I tried and tried, but I would need a roller from the local highway department to get them smooth. If you don't live with your mother or have a housekeeper, don't buy them. The bad news? They didn't shrink, leaving more to iron.

Slim Fitting, which is nice! True to size. The orange color is just right for the Fall season. These chinos and the Hawthorne boots will go nice together! I like the double button front closure. Very nice feature!

I had been kind of avoiding the Signature line, due to the cost over the regular items. After wanting light grey pants for a while and seeing them in the last catalogue, I decided to give them a shot, figuring I can't go wrong with Bean's satisfaction guarantee.
They are great! The material feels nice, the zipper is sturdy and the tailoring is high end. The cut is perfect for me as a very fit, middle aged teacher in the midwest. I'm 6" 2', 195 lbs, and ordered my usual 34x34. Not too slim, not too loose.
I like the lived-in style of them. I have been doing a lot of shopping elsewhere for the past 5 years or so, wanting something a little more contemporary than the usual LL Bean line. These have me hooked and I will order more in other colors as well as other items from the Signature line. I like the simplicity of the limited number of items in the collection that all pretty well go together.
Can't wait to get more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chiltech Great Fit - Nice Soft but Sturdy Twill
Shorter waisted - tapered to ankle, a nice profile with a sturdy but lightweight cotton twill. Soft out of the box. Waist is a bit more generous than standard Bean trousers but not baggy in the butt or legs (you don't have to order a 34" waist to fit into a 33" if you know what I mean). They do not shrink, I tried on high heat and the 34 waist was still comfortable. I will order a 33" waist for a more snug fit next pair. Length is true. These are worth the premium over standard bean offerings IMO.

Rated 2 out of 5 by closetobeans Chinos that shouldn't be sold by Signature
I was hoping that by ordering chinos through the Signature line that they would be more stylish than the LL Bean brand. But no, they are very baggy and unappealing.

The pants fit very true to size. The stitching and other accents make these chinos a bit different than most chinos (in a good way). Felt good from the first time they were worn. Bought the navy and its a lighter color blue than the LL Bean navy chinos, which I like. You won't be disappointed with these pants.

I bought a pair of faded red chinos and I really like how they look and how they fit. The chinos are well built with a substantial heft. I have always been satisfied with an LLBean purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by pmcjr Best LL Bean Chinos Ever
I've been buying Chinos from LL Bean since 1982 and am still wearing one of those early ones. These, from the Signature line, are without a doubt the best ever. With a slender shape, these fit me perfectly, are not baggy, and are very well made. These are 100% cotton and are so much better than Bean's Dress Chinos which are a blend and just don't drape naturally...in my opinion. These Signature Chinos will be perfect for casual wear as well as semi dressy with a sport coat. The dark khaki color goes with everything. My only slightly negative comment is that they don't come in a 29" length. I had to have these altered, but the waist size was spot on. Note to LL Bean....please restock your other colors soon. I want to order some more!
