Bought two pairs of these pants in the Albany, NY store. Love the style and softness of the pant as it adds a little flexibility in between a suit and standard khakis for work. While comfortable and great looking, I have run into a number of problems with these pants.
Pants wrinkle easily and require ironing after wash (label does mention warm iron if needed). They feel a little short and despite being 32" inseams on the tags, both pants are measuring at 30.25" from crotch to hem. Finally, the rear buttons are difficult to manipulate and if possible should just be left buttoned.
If not for the length, I would probably keep these for a long time. I am open to exchanging for 34" inseams with the understanding that they will shrink.

We were surprised by the poor quality of the fabric of these parents. They wrinkle like linen. It is impossible to wear them a second time without a complete pressing.
No mention was made of this in any of the reviews of these pants. We are wondering if LL Bean has changed the source of manufacture of them.
These will be returned for refund; we are very disappointed.;

If you want a dark neutral color for cool weather, this is a good choice--a step up from blue jeans.

The pants have a nice soft feel and don't require any ironing after washing. The only thing I don't like is that the back pockets have a button-hole that sits on a flap. This makes it extremely hard to button your back pockets if you want to. The front pockets are OK, but they are a little on the small size and could be deeper.
These pants are good for semi-formal wear or around the office. I think they look a little to stuffy for causal wear though.

The Heritage Herringbone Pants give me a dressy alternative from cords. The pattern is unique and they have a good look that makes them great for the office. They are warm and comfortable and I look forward to wearing them all fall, winter and spring. They are well constructed and are worth the cost. I chose the dark blue pants which work well for my wardrobe. I am very happy with them as with many Bean clothing, look forward to many years of use out of them.
