Rated 5 out of 5 by SedonaHiker Nice Shirt with a Few Surprises
I just received the dark loden color of this shirt and was immediately pleased. The flannel material feels a bit heavier than most I've owned and will come in handy during cool Fall and Winter nights. Also, on closer inspection I discovered a herringbone pattern woven into the flannel material - a nice touch. I've already worn it once and it is very comfortable and soft on the skin. Recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MacD00 This IS a wicked good shirt
I bought two wicked good shirts and two regular flannel shirts at the same time. They have the same generous cut and looked good out of the bag, but for my money or coupons, the wicked good shirts are well worth the few more dollars to purchase. The difference in look and feel of the material after several washings is clearly in favor of the wicked good shirts.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Zmoney Cut for the fat man
This shirt in LT is 19" wide at the shoulders and 25 1/2" wide at the waist, or a circumference of 51" at the waist. The shoulders fit great, but with my 32" waist, the shirt has nearly 20" of extra fabric around my waist.
The sleeves are too short, even though I ordered a tall. I measure them at 35".
Too bad LL Bean doesn't show the measurements for this shirt online. Both of us could have saved time and postage since I will be returning this shirt.

Rated 3 out of 5 by RickHikes Great, but
I agree with others that the shirt is larger than the size suggests. Unlike most flannels, the fabric doesn't pill, it is a truly GREAT shirt with just the right thickness (too thin makes you cold, too thick makes you sweat - this is perfect). The problem is that LL Bean doesn't have almost anything in stock and hasn't had for months. I'm 6'-4" and 220 pounds and the tall / XL just drapes over me. I can't get a smaller size because they are not available. Who would this fit? I would like to see LL Bean re-size and re-stock, then they would have another very successful offering.

Rated 3 out of 5 by OutdoorsIowa This Thing is HUGE
It's been mentioned before, the sizes are huge. Buy smaller. Unfortunately I got my regular size and now the only thing they have left is tents. Gorgeous shirt though. I'll probably wear as is instead of returning.

Rated 2 out of 5 by AnaElizabeth Not a flannel shirt
I ordered this shirt in the forest green plaid; the colors are deeper and more attractive than the picture. However, the material is a heavy, soft, denim-like cotton; it is not flannel. L L Bean sells "real" flannel shirts, the Portuguese flannel shirts. My husband has several; they are soft, thick, warm flannel. But what is called the "Wicked Good Flannel Shirt" is not your traditional flannel. I don't think it's flannel at all. If you're looking for thick, soft flannel, buy a Portuguese flannel shirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 Wick Good, YES!
I got two of these fine shirts for Christmas. One in "Bottle Blue" and the other in "Forrest Green". I'm very picky and not easily please with button up shirts, but these exceeded my expectations. They are extremely comfortable, and soft. I'm not easily pleased, but these shirt have pleased me very much. Highly recommend!!!

I originally bought this shirt in the Russet Plaid in my usual size of men's 2xl regular. When I tried it on, it was too big. I called the follks at LL Bean Customer Service in Freeport who suggested getting it one size down, which I did. The shirt fit nearly perfectly - the sleeves are just a tad long - and is very warm and comfortable to wear. I hope that next year this shirt is offered in more patterns. All in all, I really like this shirt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sunalsorises Runs Big
It's a nice shirt. It's a little thinner than I would have though but then again, it seems like more of a dress shirt made out of flannel than a flannel shirt. I was shooting for a nice, thick flannel shirt when I ordered but I will keep this because it is a nice shirt.
The shirt itself runs big. I normally wear large from LL Bean but the extra material on this shirt would actually lift me off the ground if it caught a gust of wind. Inventory was low at the time I ordered so returning it is not worth it to me. I'll wear it under sweaters until I gain about 50 pounds.
