This blazer fit as expected, is lightweight so excellent for layering, and has a nice finish.
For me, I'm especially grateful that the arms are cut large enough to be comfortable.

I wore this everyday for last few weeks as a fall jacket. I love the jewel colors plum and deep green. It has great shape and structure, while being soft and figure hugging as well. I am not a fan of the chest pockets, but all the other details are nice and make it more interesting. I love how the lapel can stay folded, but can be buttoned to chin if needed.
Given the design, it is not a conventional work type blazer and it is pricey for a cotton jacket, but once I tried it on at the store, it is now my fall wardrobe staple and I plan to use it to layer in winter under my boiled wool coat and also as an indoor jacket on its own. The green color will be great for spring. I just hope it holds up well after washing.

Best thing about this is the fabric, very substantial and soft.. The waist band is at a weird place, and the side straps are not attached so they catch on things. The upper arms are also very tight, no way could I wear a sweater with this. I am tallish (5'8"), the sleeve length was ok but the total length was more like a cropped blazer, and I don't think it was supposed to be.
Would love a corduroy blazer in this fabric with no extra frills (except maybe lining) - no waistband, no extra pockets - and how about making talls for women? Please?

This is a well-made, beautiful jacket, however, the sleeves are cut too slender for me. I ordered a size medium, and there is plenty of room in the body of the jacket. It fits fine with sleeveless tops, but there is not enough room inside the sleeves for a sweater. It is quite a disappointment, as I really wanted to wear the jacket this fall. For someone with very thin arms, the jacket would probably be fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NJThrifty Same old styling
I keep ordering Bean jackets in hopes the styling has improved but this jacket is the same as ever----narrow shoulders and wide hips. Other that that the workmanship is excellent. I just wish I could wear this shape.

Pros: Fabric soft and relatively wrinkle free right out of the shipping bag.
Some nice styling features.
Cons: Shoulders too wide.
Arms too long. As with all LLBean, I need to turn the cuff up.
Straight boxy cut.
I am 5'4" and weigh 145 lbs. I always buy a size medium. The jacket fill over shirt and sweater easily for layering. It was too bulky even over a sweater. There's a slight flare at the bottom hem that actually made my hips look wider. It made me look frumpy and shapeless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by oneof16siblings Comfortable, good looking, great fit, nice color
I love it even though the sleeves are too long for me, being a petite,
but it's OK. I just fold them and they are perfect. All the rest is perfect too. I had first returned this item because of the sleeves, but regretted it so I re-ordered it and am very happy about it now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mandrake I Wish It Were Lined
I'm rating this four stars "good" because I like the look of the jacket so much. I also love the colors they offer right now, the muted green, plum and gray. I have slightly broad shoulders and slightly larger arms but unlike other reviewers, did not find the arms too tight. My main issue is that I wish it were lined. It's expensive for what you get without the lining, which is good for LLB, but not necessarily for the consumer. I also find the arms a bit too long, and hard to take to a tailor due to the button positioning on the cuffs. But again, I love the colors and how it looks.

First time in years I found jacket measurements that were a true fit.
Material is warm and extremely comfortable. I am thinking of ordering a second jacket in a different color because I like it so much.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JeanQueen2 Almost perfect
The color is true to the picture. It is a rich eggplant color. I normally wear a large, but got an XL due to another reviewer stating the arms were tight. I agree. I had the same problem with a quilted riding jacket. The XL was a little big in the body but the arms were perfect. I ordered a large to compare. The body fit perfect, but the arms were snug and pulled across the shoulders. I sent it back and kept the XL. I think my arms are in proportion to the rest of my body, but these jackets are not. If not for the skinny arms, I would have given the jacket 5 stars.
