These snowshoes, as with all MSR snowshoes, are great! Being a few inches longer and having easy on and off, as well as tightening features, they are perfect for my son. He used them without the tails on his first hike and will probably use the tails next time he goes out. Great product, glad LL Bean had them, and of course shipping was easy, plus they arrived exactly when LL Bean said they would.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tekime Killer traction, great snowshoes overall!
I switched to the Revo's from the Evo's (which I loved) and I couldn't be happier. Amazing traction, very durable & held up great in extreme cold so far. A few very minor gripes with the HyperLink binding system at first, but once you get the right positioning worked out for your boots & stance they are great. The key is to find the "sweet spot" and once you are comfortable, do not detach the rear strap! I pop the front strap to remove, then when putting them on I put my boot flush with the rear strap, give the front of my boot a whack with my fist to get it snug, and strap the front in. After you strap in the front binding, tap the red lock tabs once or twice to loosen up a bit. You don't need them to crush your foot to stay in place - just a snug fit works fine. I raged on these snowshoes this last winter using the above tricks and never had a problem. The only time I experienced discomfort was when I had my boot placed too far forward or too far back; again, you just need to find the sweet spot. I've read a few gripes here and there about the binding system, and I admit I was pretty skeptical coming from the traditional Evo's. At times I missed the agility of the Evo's but more than made up for with the insane traction these shoes have, and darn it's nice to take them off and put them on again in about two seconds. And I can't count the number of times I stood on the trail while my friend wrestled with the straps on his Evo's to get the right fit. Once you get the placement and fit right with the Revo's it's "set and forget". For those having problems with boot size - I used these all winter with the LL Bean Wildcats and didn't experience this myself, but the straps are a bit on the short side. You can order a strap kit from MSR that includes longer straps intended for the rear, but they should work to swap out with the front straps to accommodate a larger boot. Haven't tried this but might be an option for those of you who appreciate how great this snowshoe is but are having problems with boot size.

by Landy67 Awesome Snowshoes!
This winter we got slammed with snow. I had to buy snowshoes just to be able to use my roof rake. I bought the MSR Revo snow shoes and I love them!
Right now we have 5' of snow on the ground. I spent the whole weekend snowshoeing and ice fishing with friends. These shoes are so much lighter than what my friends have, that I never took them off. Now I have to buy a pair for my wife!
The bindings didn't fit my Baffin Arctic Pack boots (size 13), so I sent an email to MSR support. They immediately sent out two sets of extra long straps!
Great product, and great support.
It doesn't get any better than that!
