Rated 5 out of 5 by BobfromVancouver So far, great!
I have worn it only a couple times. Fits well, seems well constructed and has room for some layering. Those days it was not raining, but chilly and breezy. It kept the wind out and I was comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sierrahiking very visible but order a size larger
used in the early morning/late evening hours on streets that do not have any streetlights or sidewalks. very visible to any passing vehicles.
based on previous customer comments for this item, I ordered a large instead of my usual medium. glad that I did that. plus, this is just a shell so I also wanted some additional room underneath for when I wear a bulkier item like a sweatshirt.
my wife ordered this item in a women's medium instead of her usual small and that worked out well for her, also.
remember that this is not an llbean branded item so their sizing chart is not particularly appropriate to reference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HikerGeek Nice lightweight layer
yes, I know it's made for runners. And while I'm not a runner, I'm hiker, and I got this for those crisp fall days where bulk isn't called for, but another layer against the wind IS. It works. And since I'm a trail maintainer, the color - in my case, orange - is a plus. It's got a good cut to the fit - not too tight, but just trim enough. And it still has enough wiggle room that I don't feel like I'll outgrow it just by going overboard with breakfast one day. All in all, I think it's good value for what I paid.

Very nice fit, even with some "layering". Light weight, highly visible for biking and functions well as a windbreaker. The vented back works well to ventilate while riding. I would highly recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a fall outdoor exercise jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wacki Nice jacket, but a little pricey.
Nice jacket, but a little pricey. I used it deer hunting today, it was 65 degrees. I plan on using it for my power walks and running.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mikebybike Touring jacket
I've been looking for a jacket for bicycle touring for almost a year. This is the best I've found, for a few reasons: large, easy to access hand pockets; lightweight yet warm; great visibility; doesn't ride up or balloon in back (that has been really tough to find in an all around jacket).
I saw in reviews where people complained about the fit of this jacket, and I agree. It's cut too tight through the upper back. In fact, it does ride up just a bit because of that. But, it's not really all that much--at 6', 180, I can wear a fleece under a large with minimal constriction.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Petersen Nice jacket, but I ordered a size too large
At six feet tall and on the thin side, I normally take a large in jackets. Based on the previous reviews, it appeared as though the sizes ran small, so I ordered an XL size instead.
Wrong. I shouldn't have listened. The XL size is what I'd expect an XL size to be ? too large for me. It's not so large that I'll be sending it back, but I should have stuck to my usual size and ordered a large. The sleeves and body are just a bit too long, and it's, well, just a bit baggy ? all of which would have been remedied if I'd ordered my usual size.
Anyway, the jacket itself is well-made. The orange color I got, is very bright, as in screaming-out-loud visible. It's a very light jacket but great for keeping the wind out (just got back from a 12-mile bicycle ride). What really amazed me is how it repels water. As a test, I literally held it under running water, shook it off and it was dry. Whether it would hold up like that in a downpour after having been washed a few times, I don't know yet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SouthRunner Very good update, but
This shell is very good update, better closures and slightly more robust material than model from a few years ago. Only thing missing was useful breast pocket with closure that was on previous models

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cornelius Nice looking
I bought this for my husband after we'd looked a while for a lightweight jacket w/high visibility for nighttime walking. It runs small. He normally wears a size large, which I had to return for XL, and that has no excess room. It's not made for cold temperatures (tag tells you that), and fit doesn't allow for bulk underneath, so don't expect to make it work when temperature drops below 45 or so degrees. It's just what my husband was looking for; it's very well made, nice style, and comfortable. And I got a great sale price at LLbean!
