Every time my son plays in the snow his gloves are soaking wet all the way through by the time he comes in.

My son has been wearing these for under an hour in the snow for the past 2 days and they get soaked! Not for playing in the snow.

We haven't noticed the soaking problem that others have had. But my daughter has complained of cold fingers while skiing on especially bitter days. The one thing that I keep finding troublesome (with past pairs as well) is that the clips on the gloves and mittens are impossible for kids to use. My daughter is now 10 with good strength and dexterity and she can't clip them together to hang them up after use #which is the easiest way to put them on a drying rack). My husband's LLBean gloves and mine from another company have much easier clips that are designed like the ones on waist packs. Those would work much better for kids, I would think.

After the first snow, these gloves were soaked on the inside. Hands were wet and freezing. Very disappointed and returning gloves.

Rated 2 out of 5áby HappyMama123 Not a perfect fit...
I've been buying these gloves for years for my kids, but this year, there is something wrong with the fit for sure. My 9 year old son could barely get the gloves on (XL) from the tight wrist elastic and once on, they were super small. I have to say, they felt warm and looked well stitched, but just not a great fit, hence the 2 stars I gave. LLBean's return policy is a breeze so it was an easy fix for us to send them back this year. As always, LLBean's customer service keeps us happy.

áby MontanaMom2Boys Bad bad bad
Don't buy if you live in a state that has real winter (snow, ice, freeze/thaw, subzero temps). Bought last season for oldest boy. No reviews at the time. Not waterproof after first significant soaking. Palm ripped out after first month. Ski season started and he asked for hot hands. Finally I felt his fingers and realized what was up, he didn't fess, he liked the color. Replaced with other gloves. Found these in the winter box and recalled that I should write a review of these terrible gloves.

You would have thought putting fleece in these gloves would have been a smart idea, seemed so to me anyway. Problem is both of my kids (3 & 6) could not get their fingers in the holes...it renders them useless. If a kid can't get a glove on by themselves (or with help for that matter) it's kind of pointless. The interior fleece part of the glove needs to be better integrated with the waterproof outer part. It's too loose.

Rated 3 out of 5áby kallygirl sizing is off
The sizing of the fingers in these gloves is off - particularly for the medium size in the pinky finger. The size large was way too big for my 9 year old son. The size medium was fine all over but the pinky finger is very tight and the lining pulls out when he takes the gloves off - which blocks up the opening for him to put his pinky finger in each time. It is a real bother. I have to use a tool or my own fingers to pop the fleece in each time which would not be practical for use at school or when he is on his own. We've kept them for now since the Large is too big and we don't have a lot of options in rural Vermont, but are not satisfied.
