Rated 1 out of 5 by rjr403 Poor product - horrible sizing
I have never been this disappointed in an LL bean product. This was my third fleece pullover from LL Bean. The first one which was purchased quite a while ago was the best. The second one was very good. This one was horrible. First, the material is very coarse and I'm sure would irritate my skin. The biggest problem was the sizing. I wear an honest XL. This pullover was like pulling spandex on. Not even close to an XL.
I am keeping my two old pullovers and will never order another new fleece pullover again.

Despite reading some of the reviews that indicated that the fit was too tight I went ahead an ordered a second fleece pullover. The first was a little more snug than I expected but I got used to it. The second that I recently purchased seemed to fit even a little better. Comfortable and warm. I'd prefer the opening close with a zipper instead of snaps but otherwise I'm very satisfied with this item.

Not at all like my old pullover. Fit is different. Cuffs, waist and neck are different. Very disappointed. Please bring back the old style.

These used to be much better as recently as three years ago. You removed the piping from the edge of the neck which gave it a more refined look that also kept the edges from accumulating lint. You also removed the same from the cuffs and from the bottom as well. To me, this has removed a good portion of what was better than anyone else's fleece, alas.
You should ask why I have stopped buying so much from you dear Bean when not too long ago you suppled most of my clothing.
I should have stockpiled these as I luckily did with many of your older, far superior quality models.

Ordered a extra large. Way too small. Reordered a 2X and it was still tight, I normally wear a large! This item should never have been sold using this sizing description. Had to pay return shipping charges. So much for standing behind their product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by BroughtUpOnBean I like the slimmer fit
While I understand the frustration of others here, I for one like the slimmer fit of this "new version". I feel that it helps with layering and that I have a better range of motion with higher arm holes and longer sleeves. Fabric is thick and cozy and the snaps are nice change from the sea of zippers out there. I do agree that the "old logo" would be nice on this classic piece but not necessary. The bright navy is a nice year round color. This is a great multi-use piece a price far more reasonable that the other company with the mountain logo!

Have owned a couple of these over the years, decided it was time for a new one, same size XXL, arrived today, and it is way too small in the body, and arms, compared it to my old one and it is several inches smaller. Not sure what size chart the manufacturer is using? If you wear an XXL, it will not fit you.....

Rated 1 out of 5 by nochecero They ruined a great product
I have previously owned two of these, size extra large, and they fit perfectly. Just received this new version in the mail and just as other have stated the sizing on this has changed drastically; it is now too tight. My last one was just stolen this week so I've worn it a lot lately and could immediately feel/see the difference. Don't fix what isn't broken LL Bean.

by Cleburne Nice material but an oddly tight fit & long arms.
For every other LL Bean top I've purchased, I fit comfortably into a men's medium. However, I had to return the medium trail fleece pullover because it was too tight in the chest and shoulders. Reordered a large, fits better in the chest/shoulders, but now have to roll up the sleeves 4". Pattern based on an orangutan? So add a $20 tailoring bill to the price. OTOH, I like the warmth of Polartec 200 wt fleece.
