I absolutely love the look of this clock and it seemed like it was made fairly well (heavy, sturdy). However, the second hand stopped working within seconds after installing batteries. Replaced batteries and it happened again. I had read other reviews like this, but really loved the look of the clock, so took my chance. Will not reorder again.

Bought the nickel version of this clock, contrasts nicely with the dark furniture in the bedroom.
Is a good size (5" across by 61/2" tall).
Keeps pretty good time.
Alarm is plenty loud, even at the low setting.
If you plan on using it in the bedroom, it is completely quiet; no ticking sound at all.
The only negative, and it's minor, is the little time adjustment knob in the back is very sensitive; turning it just a tiny bit moves the minute hand three-four minutes at a time. Took a while to adjust for the correct time.
Had it for a couple of months, and pleased with this purchase.

On one of the clocks, the light doesn't work, and on the other, one foot and the back stand are loose. Otherwise the clocks look
nice and keep good time.

Love this clock- fits in perfectly with our bedroom decor. Have this on my nightstand along with genuine vintage pieces. I was a little concerned that it would be a little noisy, but it is perfectly quiet!

I really like this clock. It appears solid in terms of exterior material. not sure what the important internals are like but the design is classic, rings true to the period, and appears to be worth the money. I would, and probably will, purchase again.

I loved the circa time of this clock my daddy had one that looked just like it. I can still hear him winding it now as he sat on side of the bed. good times. great looking clock, easy to read the time, and like the alarm.

This clock would have been fine had it been priced at $20. $50 was just too much for what it is. Like the previous reviewer - the backlighting is RIDICULOUSLY bright. It's not a subtle glow, but rather two tiny light bulbs at like the 2 and the 7 that could basically serve as a flash light. You also have to hold the button down in order to have the lights on. The alarm seemed to work well along with the snooze function. I also found the switches on the top to be somewhat cheap looking. Just not something I'd pay $50 for.

Love this clock! I didn't see any details regarding the size of the clock and ordered it anyway. Perfect size! Doesn't look like poor quality. The light is a great feature.

I purchased the 1930's version of this clock for our master bedroom and loved everything about it so I ordered this version for another bedroom. I was completely disappointed in the overall appearance. There were various one/off switches along the top of the clock (not in the rear like the '30's version) and the illumination function was too bright and seemed like a couple of headlights bearing down on me in the middle of the night. I sent it back.
