Light weight and comfortable, they don't make your feet hot. The soles are great so there is good grip going down hill. I love them!

After two pregnancies, my arches collapsed and my foot got longer. I needed to replace my Oboz, which I wear for work as an engineer. I am on my feet surveying old buildings, sometimes in very wet conditions. I ordered two pairs of Keens and Merrell's because of the reviews and was not happy with them. I ended up with another pair of Oboz, went up one size. My feet are happy again! My old pair are 5 years old but still have a lot of life left in them. I wouldn't have replaced them but they were just too tight and uncomfortable. I am confident my new pair will last a long time, but if they don't I am glad I purchased them at LL Bean who has a great return policy.

I am going to return the boots, as the R one seems a little too small and probably will get a size 8 and a half. Will do this at the Burlington store.soon.
Good quality boots, tho a little warm.

I am still "breaking in" these boots, but they seem to be good out of the box. I have worn Merrills forever and they no longer seem to make a boot for me. The Oboz feel fairly stiff, but they hug your foot, coming up higher on the top of your foot. The toebox is wide which I find to be comfortable. They are lightweight as well. I haven't had them in wet conditions yet. I wear size 9 in dress shoes. The 9.5 Oboz are just right with hiking socks.

These shoes are comfortable from the first time you wear them. There is a wide enough toe area. Now my favorite hiking shoes.

I went into my local bean store, prepared to buy yet another pair of Merrell's. I work at a garden center so I need waterproof shoes that can stand up to all kinds of weather. My only complaint about Merrell's is the fact that they wear out in approx. 18 months, but they are super comfortable, so I stick with them. Other brands that I've tried wear out just as quickly. The sales lady suggested that I try Oboz's. I had never heard of them, but the lady was knowledgeable and helpful. I liked them as soon as I tried them on, so I bought them. Wore them 8+ hours the first two days that I had them and things were fine. On the third day, my heels/arches started to kill me after 3 hours. Stopped wearing them for a few days, pain got better. As soon as I put them back on, within a few hours, I was right back where I started. Gave myself a week & a half w/out wearing them and they still killed after a few hours. Sad to report that the arch is entirely too high and rigid for my medium arch foot, so I must return them. Too bad because they are a nice looking shoe and looks like they would have lasted much longer than the Merrell's.

While I had really hoped that these shoes would work for me, they didn't. I have narrow, low profile feet. These shoes ran much wider than expected and didn't offer much arch support. The L. L. Bean return policy is excellent though and the shoe works for others.

I really liked the looks and feel of these. I was concerned about the low cut not being low enough as it rubs on my ankle bone. however that did not bother me as I wore them.
I am returning them because as much as I love them my right foot complains after a full days wear. I blew it off the first day but a week later I wore them again on an active full day with the same result.
They have amazing support and traction, stay tied and look good. Though not right for me I would still highly recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GardeningGal3 Best shoes ever!
I have flat feet and weak ankles. Finding shoes that are comfortable and give the right support is difficult. I ordered size 8, my regular size but they were snug. Ordered the 8.5 and they were perfect! These shoes were comfortable from the start. I work at a living history museum and am on my feet a lot. These are great right up to the end of the day. I highly recommend these shoes.

I have a hard time finding hiking shoes that fit and are comfortable. I have planter fasciatis and I do not need to wear my orthotics with these. My feet felt great from the moment I put them on. I wore them all day and my feet were not fatigued at all. They have a good size toe box and my planter fasciatis has improved. The first day I wore my orthotics with them and my foot rolled out so I removed them and they fit perfect. I love the goretex and these a surprising light. Highly recommend these.
