Rated 5 out of 5áby CBontheEVO I mean, it's a hat
How much can you really say? It's adjustable, it's a nice weight cotton and has an understated logo. But those all all the things that make this hat a standout. Bought this for my dad in the grey with orange lettering. Looks good on the old guy.
Would I buy it again? Yes. I'm sure I'll be buying another as soon as he forgets this one in a restaurant (as he did with the last hat I bought him). ;-)

This would have fit due to the adjustable strap in back, but it was was way too shallow. It fit me like a beanie. It looks much deeper in the picture.

Just received this cap in a weathered blue with red stitched LL Bean name and gold stitched paddles. Don't plan to wear it until spring but it is very attractive, with understated logo, and nice natural fit. Nice weight for spring and cooler summer days. Will be my favorite cap once the weather warms.

Only one quibble: the black logo stitching on some of the colors might be changed to a more subdued color like on the navy and khaki hats. I bought the navy one because khaki was out. I like the closer fitting crown. I bought it because this warmest winter since weather records started in 1850 in California made my wool baseball cap too hot for our mid-60's to low 70's beautiful, scary, rainless days.

Nice bright blue that suits summer wear. The fabric is also light but note that it's twenty percent rayon, not all cotton. The back clasp that I've always had open up on all LLB hats has been changed it seems because it doesn't do that on this one--good improvement. However, as someone else noted ,for anyone wearing "large" and above hat sizes the crown is slightly shallow so it's not as secure feeling as it could be. Still, LLB seems to have remembered that dull, opaque colors belong in the colder months not in summer and have altered their colors among many items to reflect the mood of the season--another improvement.
I hope that next year they'll have it ready for sale in spring rather than mid-summer.

Rated 3 out of 5áby Mervich Weathered Baseball Cap - Navy Crossed Paddles
I have the earlier Navy Weathered Casco Bay Baseball Cap (L.L.Bean Manufacturer) and it's a great hat. This one (crossed paddles) is simply not deep enough for those of us with larger heads ?looks like a kids cap stretched over my size 7ż head?low profile to the extreme. Probably OK for size 7? heads or smaller.

Can't have too many baseball caps (especially if one happens to be balding)! I got the navy one to add to my collection and it has quickly become one of my favorites. Fits my big head well and it looks like an old favorite I may have had for years. As usual for a Bean cap, it is made quite well and should last a long time. Kudos, Mr. Bean!

Rated 5 out of 5áby DanS Very comfortable cap
A decent baseball styled cap, the weathered fabric provides a softness to the finish. Fully adjustable, the clip in back also features the LL Bean label/logo so people will know you're a Bean'er from either the front or behind... The fabric is not too thin, but not as thick a fabric as the Katahdin Iron Works caps either...
I found myself wearing it like a cap I had already owned for years. Good job, LL Bean!

Rated 4 out of 5áby elbarto Good Cap, Wrong Color
I ordered one of these caps in red. Online the color appeared to be a light faded red, but the cap I received was very dark, almost a magenta. It seemed to be well made and fit my large (size 7Ż) head well. The material was described as twill, but it was actually canvas. Although I had no complaints about the quality of the cap, I returned it because I didn't care for the color.

Nice, heavier cotton than regular Bean hats. The design is excellent ( although I normally shun logos) and the color darker-- more like a magenta than red, than what I expected-- which I liked. The visor is a good length, but could be slightly longer ( maybe it's the shape of the crown that makes it seems shorter).
The sole drawback is that the clasp in the back opens up, rather than slides, every time I adjust my hat on my head. Minus one star for that.
