my husband loves this coat, warm, true to size, well made, lots of pockets, bright color so I can spot him when he is far from the house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bonju I GOT THE RED PARKA
i got this RED parka in Large Men's. It's the bomb. Put it on right out of the box and it was a perfect fit. Lightweight, pockets galore and I'm a chick. There's space for everything you carry.
Buy this. It's expensive but will last a lifetime. U cannot go wrong!

Rated 4 out of 5 by RJLL Green is VERY green, like that on kids pajamas
the green coat is primary green, unlike the picture on the website. other than that jacket seems OK. Don't like how hood can't be tucked in like the older models. Sleeve ends are stiff, why not make them softer where they contact wrists?

Rated 4 out of 5 Almost Perfect
From a functional standpoint this jacket is perfect. Synthetic insulation so you don't have leakage like you do with down jackets. Also not too bulky but enough bulk to eat through the cold wind. This jacket has serious warmth and enough water protection to keep you dry in snow. Also the fleece hand warmer pockets are a plus.
My one big complaint: it's just not very stylish. The construction of the jacket is fine, but the colors just don't do much for me. Would love if you made an all black version of this coat with the LL Bean logo in white. And a removal fur hood. Doesn't matter if it's fake fur. I realize this jacket is one of LL's classics, and top sellers, so I'm not suggesting that you guys do away with the colors you currently have. All I'm suggesting is that you make a version of this jacket for the male in their 20's and 30's who, for better or worse, does care about style. Because as I said above, this jacket kills other brands from a function standpoint, but it loses when it comes to style. Just something to think about before you guys start manufacturing next years version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MELSIE FANTASTIC WINTER JACKET & ALREADY REVIEWED IT &
We liver in Queens NY and it has been brutally cold. My husband loves this jacket. Lightweight, really warm and he does not wear long sleeve shirts, sweatshirts, just short sleeve shirts and it is as warm as a bomber jacket he once got from LL Bean.
People have complained about the zippers, not enough pockets etc. No problem at all with the one I bought my husband. He loves it. So glad I finally got him a new jacket and LL BEAN - THANK YOU!
This JACKET is worn by EYEWITNESS NEWS in the field with all the COLD & SNOW. Just amazing to see them wearing it. The color they wear is the ROYAL BLUE & one time I saw the GREY I got for my Husband. If it is good enough for EYEWITNESS NEWS, well that says it all for anyone who wants a VERY WARM, LIGHTWEIGHT JACKET.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Appyfive Great Parka!
I purchased this last year on sale to use as an inexpensive downhill ski jacket. It exceeded my expectations for warmth and functionality and I now use it for other outdoor activities like running the snow blower this winter.
The three zipper pockets are great for safely storing accessories. I love the chest pocket because I can store my season ski pass safely while skiing. The removable hood has been great for skiing because I don't need it when I wear my ski helmet and I can remove it very quickly. No problem with the zippers not working.
The jacket is not flashy but it does the trick on the slopes and off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Smackwater Both Versions Are Great!!
Having both this year's and the previous year's model allows me to compare them side by side. Some of the featured changes--lighter weight, streamlined appearance--are plusses; but to achieve these benefits, some things were lost: two hand warmer chest pockets (useful for holding small items), and one of the interior pockets for storing gloves, hats, etc. The previous model also had the zippers covered/concealed, which made for a neat appearance; the nylon covering the shoulders and upper arms also seems tougher, but may not last any longer. Both fit well, are warm, serviceable, and offer good value. You can't go wrong with either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Desuetude Warmest Coat I've Ever Had
If I had to keep just one winter coat, this would be it. A lot of thought went into the design of this coat. It zips up very nicely and with the hood it keeps all your body heat inside the coat. I'm still discovering new features on this coat whether a new pocket, some velcro to keep you further bundled up tight, or the internal cuff around the wrist to keep snow from coming up the sleeve. It's really an amazing piece of engineering. It's kept me dry and warm into sub-zero wind chills this winter.

Six weeks into owning the product the plastic zipper failed and will not seal the jacket. Otherwise, it is a warm, comfortable and nice looking coat

Rated 5 out of 5 by Marylanddogwalker Comfortable, windproof, warm.
A great coat. This comes down just past my butt: very comfortable length. The collar is smooth , snug fleece; and no cold gets through even in a recent 30 mph north wind. . Waterproof, so far, in a light drizzle; hopefully this will be true for a heavy rain.
I have a 40 chest: Medium is very good fit over a sweater or fleece.
