I almost didn't order these sheets because of the thread count. Was told higher is better. They are fabulous. Love the detail on them. Just cant find sheets like this today. Going to order another set if they ever go on sale.

I purchased these pillowcases in the cream color, to coordinate with the Botanical Floral percale sheet set. There are four pillows on the bed, and I wanted something to complement the floral pattern, but not exactly match, and these are perfect. At least one reviewer has noted that the cream color is really more of a yellow, but that has not been my perception. The cream is just what I think of when I think of cream - an old-timey rich off-white - and it is very similar to the background color of the Botanical Floral sheets, which I do not see as yellow at all. It may be a fraction of a shade darker than those sheets, but even when the cream pillowcases are right next to the floral pillowcases, you'd be hard-pressed to see a difference.
These pillowcases are well-made, with substantial percale fabric, and are a slight bit softer than the Botanical Floral sheets. I have tried to determine whether the fabric is actually thinner, but I don't think it is. I think it is just finished in a different way, so while it still has that cool crisp percale feel, it does not have the "crumpled paper" sound some are complaining about with the Botanical Floral sheets. (In my experience the Botanical Floral sheets will break in just fine.)
The pintuck and lace edging is beautiful, with no stray threads and snagging as I would expect to see in a similar product made by another company. It is not as feminine as one might think and is really rather versatile. I am planning to buy the whole sheet set in the cream color because I'm so impressed by the quality and appearance.
It should be noted that, as one might expect, such a light color is a bit transparent. If you have a pillow with a pattern (for instance, ticking stripe) the pattern will likely show through the pillowcase. We even have a white synthetic cover over a patterned pillow, with the pintuck pillowcase on top of that, and the pattern shows through slightly. This is not really a big deal and if I had to choose, I would buy a new white pillow and keep these pillowcases.
I haven't had trouble with extreme wrinkling - if removed from the dryer promptly, there is slight rippling, which I think is fine, and which can be eliminated quickly with an iron. The lace comes out of the wash no worse for wear.
Note - in standard size, these are 21"x 31". Even after being washed and dried they were noticeably bigger than my old standard pillowcases. It turns out they are about 2" longer and maybe 1.5" wider, which means no more wrestling the cases onto thick pillows. There is actually excess on thinner pillows.

Love these pillowcases! This is my second time ordering these. Fabric has a Shabby chic look ... If you are fussy, you will need to iron, but look great right out of the dryer. I love nice pillowcases and am tired of paying a lot for poor quality.

These pillowcases are lovely! The crocheted trim and pintucks add such a nice old-fashioned touch and dress up the bedding just enough. I bought one set about six months ago and have liked them so well that I ordered a second set more recently.

I got these in cream and like the color a lot--a warm off-white edging toward a tea-stained color--and the pintucks and crocheted band are great touches with surprisingly strong visual impact--my otherwise plain bed now has an old-fashioned coziness.
