These pants fit funny. They are really long, short in the torso and have no room if a child is any build but super skinny. My son is not even close to being overweight but is not super skinny so these jeans do not work. The cut my have changed because 2 years ago they were awesome which is why I ordered them again. The jeans we bought 2 years ago fit better than the ones I just ordered. Very disappointed. My sister's little boy had the same fit issues.

My kids have worn these for three winters now. Each year I order for the bigger kid and pass down to the younger. The pants are longer, so you can roll them and see the liner is my theory. The size 10 pants can still go on my size 12 boy all let out, but he was uncomfortable after playing airsoft in them, so I'd say they are accurately sized. Wish I could pick liner colors to make it easier to tell sizes apart.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Amy06820 super jeans but FYI they run big!
I love these fleece lined jeans, but order a size down. My boys are almost 7 and the 5-6 jeans are still quite roomy at the waist and have 3" to grow into in length. The 6x/7 -- which shoudl be their size -- are going back.
Also I with the fleece were am inverted lining (e.g. raw edges enclosed between the 2 layers of fabric). These are flat-lined, and the seams (which you can see in the photo online, and I appreciate LL Bean for that) are a little bulky.
Still we're in for 4 pairs this winter. Thanks, LL Bean!

I bought a few pairs of these jeans for my son and he wears them almost every day. He walks between buildings at school and the cold was no match for how warm these were. I'm already planning on buying some next winter since he has outgrown these. I would highly recommend them for any "tween-ager", especially if they love the outdoors!

I purchased a pair of size 12 for my son. He is very skinny, but long legged. I was expecting the jeans to be baggy, but they are riduculously baggy, even with the adjustable waist sinched up as much as possible, they fall off his waist.
they are also long...longer than every other pair of size 12 pants he owns by a couple of inches.
