Rated 5 out of 5 by Sparrow2 cutest comfortable warm black wellies
True to size. I am size seven and purchased size seven.
I have large calfs so near impossible to find wellies that fit comfortably. These mid height wellies are just right.
No to mention beyond cute! I bought the wool sock inserts for extra warmth and they fit fine inside my regular size wellies.
Seriously in love with these black wellies.
Would love to get another pair. Say in a nice yellow color?
Thank you L.L.Bean for wellies that fit!

Rated 1 out of 5 by GreenvilleIN Not the LL Bean Wellies of the past!
I purchased some LL Bean wellies in February of this year. Within 9 months, there were holes in the seams. I wear the boots less than 15 minutes a day. I had a previous pair of boots that wore well for years.
While LL Bean gladly credits the price of a return, it is still time wasted to have to return something. You are probably better off to find Wellies as a local store.
Sadly, I see an overall decline in the quality of LL Bean products.

Rated 2 out of 5 by StillLookingForSlippers Why only one width and no half-sizes?
Size 9 is blister-tight across the top of my foot, but the heel is loose. Size 10 would be way too big in the heel and too long. Disappointing, that none of Bean's Wellies come in wide and there are not even half-sizes available, to compensate for the narrow cut in one area. Will have to return them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Sandy7 Loved them 18 years ago, but not so much now
I still have my green wellies that I bought from LL Bean in 1996, and other than the rubber looking a little off (they are 18 years old) they are still in great shape. I ordered the mid black wellies almost two years ago, and I have loved them until now. When I went to put them on the other day, I noticed that the linings are coming away from the boots. I thought they would last way longer than that?!

I bought some yellow women's Wellies a few years ago (Fall 2012), and was ecstatic with them for the first while. After about 6 months, though, they started to split where my ankles/feet move. A few months after that, those cracks started letting in water.
Because I'm in Canada, I can't just walk into a store to exchange them. I've been checking the site every few weeks for over a year now, but I've yet to see yellow women's Wellies back in stock. I'd rather the sunshine yellow boots I fell in love with, but if they won't be coming back in stock, I'd settle for the black. Any information would be helpful.

Rated 2 out of 5 by kchd Sizing runs large
I received these boots as a gift, in the green vine print. I love the way they look, but the sizes run too large. I wear a solid women's size 9 in shoes. I spend lots of time doing outdoor activities for both work and home, and have been through many pairs of shoes and boots made for the outdoors. Size 9 fits me well, but these boots are way too large, more so in the length and ankle than the width. After reading the reviews about these boots cracking, I am hesitant to exchange them for a size 8 as I am not so sure they can withstand my use. I am not just going to be walking through wet grass in these.

Rated 1 out of 5 by PlenitudeFarm Should have heeded other reviews
Having purchased L.L. Bean products over a 30 year time span, I chose to rely on the L.L. Bean name rather than the negative reviews of this item. For the first time in my life, I am extraordinarily disappointed with a product. These boots are very comfortable. They also began breaking down after about a dozen times wearing them. The plastic outer coating has cracked at the break over between the foot and leg in numerous places on both boots, rendering them useless for the activities for which they were purchased, namely light wearing while watering barn animals and cleaning stalls. I wore them only a few times in the fall of 2013 when I ordered them before switching to tall, lined work boots (another brand). After just a few outings this spring in them--and never for any great length of time--they were already starting to split. By now (July 2014), they are no longer useful to me, which leaves me quite sad as they were a reasonable price and were very comfortable to wear while they were still intact. Heed the other negative reviews and do not buy these boots.

I am on my second pair of LLBean Wellies and unfortunately the second pair has cracked and split at the seams and in the ankle crease. Great little boots, but not if water can get inside.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LGPB mine cracked too!
I really love these boots but like so many other reviewers, both boots developed cracks at the front part of the ankle. I wear them to remove snow, which has been quite a bit this winter, and my feet get totally soaked.
I was going to come and buy a new pair, but I see folks have contacted LL Bean about replacements - I may do the same.
If this has been an issue for years, why hasn't LLB resolved the issue?
Other than this cracking, the boot is terrific - high enough to keep water/snow out and great traction - no slips in snow, ice or mud.
Just fix the cracking !!!

Too big inside the entire foot area- needs to be more snug to be stable and wear for more than a quick run outside. Liked the color.
