Rated 3 out of 5 by Puddleduck Nice jacket but not warm
Even with a medium weight wool sweater under it, this jacket was not warm on a 50 degree day. I was doing errands, so maybe it wasn't a fair test. I may have to save it for cross country skiing.

This jacket is absolutely beautiful. It color is cheery and vibrant and it's comfortable and cozy. It does run small and I'm not totally sold on the -25 claim, so I sized up to make sure I could fit layers underneath. Even with the up size and layers, it is still a slimming and flattering jacket.

Rated 3 out of 5 by RubyShopper Good Jacket, Poor Color Options for Women
The jacket is good quality, warm and comfortable. The color choices offered women, however, like many LL Bean items, seem designed more for 5 year olds than for women. Women are offered florescent blue, green, red, etc., while men have nice subtle options like cayenne and pine. Women want these options also!

Rated 4 out of 5 by hikerfrau Vibrant colors, narrow fit
By "closer fit" they mean fitted. I wear a petite and I'm a little broad across the shoulders and back. The petite of this jacket was way too narrow across the back and shoulders, and across the bust I looked like I was going to pop the zipper. That was a surprise because I'm small chested. I sized up to the regular, which fit in the chest but was still too narrow across the back.
I'm disappointed because the colors are fabulously vibrant. The materials were very nice too. Bean's, please offer the primaloft packaway in these colors.

Rated 2 out of 5 by PegUpstateNY Just not warm enough
I returned two of these last winter. To be fair, the first one was on sale and a 'model' year old and didn't have the same new tech as this one. LL Bean customer service was great - promptly sending me the 2014 model. However, that one still wasn't warm enough. Our winter in NY last year was very cold (extended days of -5 to -20 ) and this jacket did not block the wind enough. I think if you wear a shell under it, you'd be fine. Not what I was hoping for from a $199 jacket. It was attractive and fitted nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SuzyMontana Has all the features
I started looking for a down jacket last spring and decided to wait until fall to see the new features that would come out in 2015. I checked out all the name brands we all know, but only this LL Bean jacket has all the features that I wanted: water-resistant down, 850 fill, a sturdier shell, length that went below my upper hips, a cord to tighten the bottom edge, not a boxy shape, affordable, and pretty colors. I ordered both a small and x-small to see which fit my 5'6" 110lbs. The x-small is perfect and allows room for a thick sweater underneath. The brilliant blue is a beautiful color. It's too early to wear it and report on the warmth, but I'm confident it will be just what I need.

Rated 3 out of 5 by sothlice For busty people only
This is a well-made jacket, and fits true-to-size; I am an XS, and it fit - for the most part. If you're flat-chested and need all the help you can get, don't go for this jacket -- there's very little styling to accommodate small bust and average-width shoulders. Oh well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BEARTOOTH SPOTS ON FABRIC
A few purchasers noted some of the lighter colored jackets seem to have dark spots or stains. I observed this on the two jackets I purchased, Upon close examination, the spots are caused by dark down close to the surface. I put both jackets in the dryer on the tumble dry setting to fluff them out and the spots disappeared.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BeachLove My previous review listed the wrong size
The LL Bean algorithms don't allow edits to published reviews (please fix?), so here's another: Sizing: 5'7" 145 lbs, small chest, size SMALL.
All other review comments remain the same: I live in this jacket and adore it.
