Rated 3 out of 5 by 1947er You need a long neck and broad shoulders for this
I love the material and the style and the colors! That is why I rated this as I did and would recommend it to others. BUT with the following proviso: I am sadly returning both shirts because I do not have the long neck required to successfully wear this shirt. The boatneck is cut very high and some of us do not have swan-like necks, and so the material kind of softly chokes us in front, as it rides up under our chins. And I keep pulling it dwon as it rides back up. All day long. Also, the boatneck is cut very wide across the front and tends to slide off one or the other shoulder (sometimes both) enough to expose bra straps. Some of us do not care for that look either. So - LLBean, please redesign this shirt so that the neckline is a little lower in front and a little less wide-cut all the way to the shoulders. Then it will be awesome!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dagny Poor Fit, Neck Far Too Wide
I bought two of these tops, one white and one black, and was really pleased with the way they looked and the quality of the fabric when they arrived. However, the boat neck is so wide that there's no way to conceal bra straps, and the sleeves are really tight, which also makes the top fit poorly across the chest. I'm sending both of these back for a refund.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Styleshopper15 sleeve problem
I bought this shirt as I like the new style to go with different skirts. It fits fine except the sleeves are just snug enough as to be a distraction. I haven't washed it yet, in cold water, and dread w/o not it will shrink and be a waste of $25!!! Please have your manufacturers add just 1/2" width to the sleeve and pre-shrink the fabric or allow for shrinkage in the direction that the fabric shrinks. That shouldn't be too much to ask for a price of $25!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Blighty Very Attractive shirt
I was not sure I could wear the boatneck of this shirt as I have "Victorian" narrow shoulders but as luck would have it they make my shoulders look wider! Yeah! I love the fit of this shirt and the elbow sleeves are such a plus.

Love the material, however, the neckline is cut to wide - bra straps show. Would not buy again for this reason.

I ordered the square boatneck pullover in bright plum heather, petite. The color is lovely, the neck lays nicely, it's a perfect length and the sleeve length is nice for a little arm coverage. After laundering, nothing changed. Hard to find that combination. Thanks, L.L. Bean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by xokensie1 Stylish tee
I really like this tee, it is more stylish than just a plain tee. The material is soft and comfortable yet has some structure to it. As description states slightly fitted, but in a good way. The sizing is true to form

Rated 5 out of 5 by Diane69 cute and comfortable
I was concerned after reading reviews whether I could wear this pullover as I have wide shoulders, sm chest, small bones etc..so ordered a size large instead of medium. It fit perfectly and I love it. I got the coral/red. Would like other colors. I haven't washed it yet but usually there are no problems. Thanks

This is a very attractive tee and a lovely material too. It is slightly shaped which is flattering and of course the elbow sleeves are always welcome! A jaunty little number.

I have reservations about the design, meaning the horizontal striped material goes all the way across the neckline; often a boat neck top like this will have the shoulder pieces come over the front, thereby breaking and shortening the line. Nevertheless, this is a delightful top, well made, drapes well and the stripes are just narrow enough to still be flattering. I washed it in cold, and dried on cool and there was no shrinkage. An XL has enough room to allow for shrinkage as time goes on. Looks nice now with jeans or crops, and will look great later with a red sweater.
