Rated 1 out of 5 by EdSlo item no TM290559 waterproof shoes
I purchased the shoes about 3years ago but have only worn them 15 - 20 times. They have been stored in a temperature-controlled closet when not worn. I was wearing them last week for the first time in a day-long heavy rain. After about 5 hours my feet became wet
The shoes are very comfortable and I like them except they should be considered water resistant and not waterproof.

You have to love the look, fit and performance of these boots. While I was initially concerned about the boot hitting above the ankle, I soon found they fit like a glove. We have had a brutally cold winter here but these boots stood up to slushy conditions as well as extreme cold. Couldn't be happier!

I have had them for a few weeks and worn them casually and on one 5 mile steep and rocky hike in an Arizona mountain canyon. They are sturdy and comfortable with plenty of support without feeling too stiff. I did not try out the waterproof aspect. I bought them 1/2 size larger than my casual shoes to accommodate mid-weight summer hiking socks and that has worked out well. I did get a hot spot (no blister) on the ball of one foot but plan to remedy that with medicated talcum powder (like Gold Bond) my next time out. I don't consider this a problem with either the boots or the socks. Great boots so far.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Pappy5199 No longer waterproof
Purchased these in March of 2014 because the older model was discontinued. They are a comfortable boot for a day of hiking in the woods. The seems and tread have held together very well over hiking and daily use. They were "waterproof" for about seven months. In March of 2015 went out for a morning hike after a rain shower passed. Within 200 yards of walking my feet were completely saturated. So comfortabilty it is a good boot, but don't buy them unless you don't mind wet feet all day.

Wore these several times so far, I thought the fit was fine on my wide feet. Just as described. No surprises.

The toughest part was selecting the pair of boots I wanted. After that, everything was easy. Online ordering process was simple and straight forward. Delivered was remarkably fast.
The boots fit very well with very little break in period (5 minutes to total comfort?). Lots of melting snow means lots of water and mud. My feet have been warm and dry. Boots clean up nicely. With I could say the same for the dogs who love running, playing in the wet and mud.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Spendar Older Trail Model were better
I bought these for my son last summer to replace an older pair of LL Bean Hikers. The boot was redesigned and made in a different country and we thought the newer boot was not as good. A wider front foot area and the whole boot was cheaper, so we returned them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by mattabel3 comfortable but eyelet problems
The shoe fits well overall and is comfortable. I don't like the design of the top eyelets. They are supposed to easy to loop the lace around but with a hump built up in front of it made it more difficult to loop the lace around the eyelet quickly.

I absolutely love these boots. The are comfortable enough for all day wear. They do not leak. And they even keep my feet warm in the snow. I spent hours playing with my son in 13" deep snow and my feet didn't get cold or wet. I liked them so much I bought the low cut version as well. My intention is to wear these kayaking until the water gets warm, but they have turned out to be great hikers and snow boots too.
