Rated 2 out of 5 by SullDog Wildcat Boots quality issue
Living in the NorthEast, I treasure my wildcat boots (especially this winter) for keeping my feet warm and dry on the occasions when we get hit with extreme conditions. Imagine my disappointment when I noticed that the leather upper had pulled away from the rubber bottom portion of the boot leaving a gap for snow to get in. Further noted that there was no stitching that let go, rather just a poor glue job apparently.
Further disappointed when I learned via chat session with llbean CS that these boots are NOT REPAIRABLE and I may return them for a refund.
I need good, quality winter boots like llbean used to make, not a refund.

These boots fit perfectly. I wear a size 10D and ordered a 10D. They easily slide on and off and are comfortable to wear while hiking. We had 3 inches of snow and 1 degree temperatures with a -14 degree wind chill. The boots kept my feet warm and comfortable. I took the "widow-maker" hill today with 4 inches of snow on the ground. The hill has areas with 50 to 70 degree inclines. I never lost my footing. Great traction. If you like being out in the winter weather or have to be out in it, these are the boots for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Reka Very comfortable, cozy warmth!
Great shoes! I am a woman with size 6-7 (women's) feet, but sometimes I have to wear number 9 because my feet are very wide. That's why I ordered the men's as women's shoes are much narrower. Also, this particular shoe is not made in women's sizes. (As a side, I wonder WHY?). The men's size 7 fits perfectly, Might be a little long but nicely snug with thicker socks. They feel nice, smooth, and very comfortable, and WARM! I just love these shoes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by RCandBelle Wish they made wide
My wife has a pair and loves them. The size was listed as medium width. I ordered one size larger hoping to compensate for my wide foot. They were still snug for width. I am afraid this tightness would cancel the warmth required in northern Wisconsin. I returned the boots. I wish they offered this item in a wide width. I have used the Bean Maine hunting boots for decades. It offers the wider width. I was hoping the Wildcat Pro would work for me. It did not. I am disappointed with the fit, but LLBean still is a quality source.

I wanted a boot that would provide warmth and durability for extended periods outdoors, especially during snow removal.

I purchased these boots primarily for snowshoeing and now that I've used them a few times, I think they are great. The fit is good, and the traction is great. It hasn't been cold enough yet to really test their warmth, but I anticipate that they will be very warm in the cold.
I do a lot of back country hiking and snowshoeing in winter and I would recommend these boots to anyone looking for good waterproof comfort in the winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by viable Wildcat Boots tame Wet Cold Snow
Thse are TEK2.5 waterproof system construction. They are ~7.5 in from heel to top of boot [at the back]. Insulation is 600 Primaloft. One boot weighs 1lb 13oz. They have five lace-through holes plus two quick release hooks at the top, all stainless steel riveted. Exceptionally comfortable fit on my feet, with easily adjusted fit in the upper part with the laces for tucking in pant legs or letting pant legs fit over the top. Whether I wear them inside or outside, my feet stay surprisingly dry all day long. The sole and shoe appear to be molded together; (they did separate on a previous design of the same MANUFACTURER, which had similar properties.) I wear these with and without snowshoes, on rugged terrain or flat ice/snow/frozen sleet. The outer sole cleat depth is about 1/4 in max, with three cleat patterns: midsole, front and heel, inner and outer sides. Have not yet slipped on any surface with these boots. The ankle support is solid. The padding is generous at the top, higher in front and tapering towards the back. The uppers are leather where solid, otherwise a synthetic mesh. The LLB ad rates them good to -45 F., which I doubt we'll see in these parts. (The previous model was dry and warm in -20 F plus whatever the windchill brought. Highly recommended.

First wearing: Walked about 4 miles off-and-on while out in snowy 20 degree weather - boots were warm, dry and comfortable the whole time. Can't ask for much more than that from boots.
