Wildcat boots provide comfort, warmth and don't slip creating an excellent boot for winter use. I highly recommend them to anyone that spends lengthy time out doors in cold and snow.

Replacement for older pair of Wildcats. Last pair held up for 10 plus years. Had no issue with warranty replacement service. Actually had to exchange twice. First pair came in size 12, same size as my old pair. It ran a little small. After calling warranty service, they rush shipped me a size 13 so I would not be without boots. New pair has been used twice in heavy snow and below 20 degrees. Feet stayed dry and warm.
Bought the same boots (women's model) for my fiancee this year, she is also very happy with them.

Ordered these to replace a 10 year old pair of similar Bean boots from an earlier era that had served me well. These boots fit well, are lighter than the previous pair, and kept my feet warm and dry over a 2 mile hike in ankle deep snow and 20 F temperatures and a stiff breeze.
As others have mentioned, the boots are a bit stiff, but provide good support and the stiffness is not uncomfortable or distracting on a hike. I haven't worn them enough to know if they will become more flexible with time (I suspect they may loosen up a bit).

Got tired of cold and wet feet with other supposedly insulated and water proof or resistant boots. I bought the Wildcat Lace-Ups and am very pleased with them. Thus far we've had 2 substantial snowfalls which left a slushy few inches on the ground. Walking through it was no problem. These boots definitely live up to expectations.

The pros boots are waterproof and easy to get on & off, they are easy to walk in.
The cons the 400 gr insulation is all in the ankle area none in the toe. This makes the boot very wide, hard to get your jeans over them in some cases.
The toe is a hard fiber material with no insulation in the toe. This material gets cold and my toes get cold in 15' weather even with continuous walking and heavy socks.
Not a -20' boot, I find most of these temp ratings are a little optimistic anyway.

I've not had a pair of comfortable workboots in many years and I am pleasantly surprised with these boots. If you are looking for steel toe, waterproof and extremely comfortable these are the boots for you. The fit is similiar to how you feel in a ski boot yet you have total agility. It feels like your feet are cushioned and protected...you really have to try them for yourself to understand exactly what I am describing.

áby BootShopper2014 Mens Wildcat Boot 4 Lace Up
After finally retiring my boots of 20 years (another brand), I decided to look at LLBean Boots. Mostly for the warranty. The boots came today and the first time I put them on my feet they were a little stiff up top but well fitting around the feet. I noticed the uppers were glued to the sole instead of being sewn (like quality shoes or boots) but it is very difficult to find a pair of boots that are sewn. I put the socks I would be wearing on and tried on the boots. As I grabbed the laces at the bottom to begin tightening, the eyelets popped out of the boot. I tried the other boot and this time pulled the laces very very gently and the same thing happened. Called customer service. They were helpful. They are sending out another pair. I am very curious if the new pair will have the same construction. I will update review if possible.

Rated 5 out of 5áby JerryNH Excellent winter boots!
These boots don't come in wide width, but I took a chance and ordered a half size up hoping to get my extra-wide feet into them. They are very comfortable even with a pair of thick wool socks.
Temperatures in Southern NH have been in the 30's and the trails are wet and icy. These boots have kept my feet warm and dry even when slogging through ankle-deep puddles. The soles provide good grip on snow and bare ground, but I'll be using a pair of micro-spikes when the trails turn to ice.
I am very happy with these boots!

I got these boots shortly before we had the week long Nor'Easter in Vermont. I wore them in deep, wet snow and stayed completely dry and comfortable. These boots are light and make walking a pleasure. Highly recommended.
