Rated 5 out of 5 by Bruman Awesome, Storm Chasers Boots
I have had these Storm Chasers Boots now for six years and have really held up great. They are so comfortable and they keep my feet dry even with snow above the boot line. I have cleared a number of iced roofs and the boot really hold well and digs in to keep you from slipping. I hope the quality hasn?t changed because these boots are Awesome. I highly recommend these boots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by trupeke Shoe leaked after approximately 1 yr
Clogs were perfect for the purpose I was using them...however, after about 1 year they being to leak moisture from early morning dews or after a rain...this completely defeats the purpose of having this type of shoe...

Rated 4 out of 5 by PlaidFan Great shoe, but not for everyone
I take a size 8 in nearly everything, but even with my thickest socks, there was too much heel movement in the size 8 slip-ons. When the 7.5's arrived, I tried on one with my thinnest hiking socks and the other with my thick ones, and definitely noticed an improvement. The thick socks make the heel fit nicely, but the toe box is too tight. My feet feel comfortable in the shoes with the thin socks, and there's only a slight wiggle in the heel. Plus, it's not like I'm using them for running - they're intended to quickly go on before taking out the trash or going to the store. I wear LL's "Men's Cresta Hiking Socks, Lightweight" with these shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FrackingIsTOXIC A very versatile winter shoe
I wanted a shoe that was comfortable, warm, waterproof, and easy on and off. These fit the bill. I have worn these in various snow conditions including light powder, the mushy snowball stuff and everything in between. I'm not easy to please so I was surprised how well they performed especially in snow crusted over with a frozen wintry mix that collapses under foot, and they really shined in slushy roadside goop. They are slip-ons, so they are loose fitting by design, which makes stepping into them quick, and keeps them comfortable once you get where you are going-- a huge advantage if you are like me and don't like tight fitting hot shoes while sitting in a coffee shop. The tread is aggressive enough to maintain traction on everything but glazed ice. Some compromises include a looser fitting heel than toe box which means running in these is do-able but sprinting after a bus is out, and if you wear them in snow deeper than the the height of the shoe, you may get some over the top. The design of the pull on loop sewn onto the back could be improved somehow- NOT made larger, just more upright and a bit stiffer so it is easier to "locate" and insert a finger quickly. These shoes are a rarity, the design isn't perfect yet but it is darned close.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BigHiz A bit loose and sloppy fit
Shoes are well made and nice style. The fit is sloppy and feet move up and down when walking. They also have a weird feel. The toes of the shoes curve upward a little...take a bit to get use to. A bit clunky. I take a size10.5 normally and I got a 10.5.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nicely Very Nice, But
The look and quality of these shoes are excellent. Unfortunately, I had to return them because they were just a bit too big and my heel slipped when I walked.

I got last year's version. They were cut a little lower but they were basically the same boot. I wore them for part of last winter and part of this winter and I loved them. This winter I started to notice my feet were getting a little wet sometimes when I would wear them. I let it go until we got a few inches of snow and I had to walk around in some really sloppy conditions. My feet were soaked and so were the inside of the boots. I have no idea how but they slowly started leaking until it was finally too noticeable to not do anything.
I did take them back to LL Bean and they gave me this year's version. Customer service is truly great at LL Bean. I am hoping the leak was a fluke and that the new boots hold up.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Levt Doesn't seem to be the right size
After reading the reviews I ordered a size up. I found the length was right and the front part of the foot felt correct, but the heal and the ankle part were too large and the boot didn't fit snuggly enough. It felt like I was wearing a boot on the front part of my foot and flip flops on the back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BlackLabDesign Fit exactly what I needed for Michigan Winters
Living in Michigan, its no surprise that at SOME POINT you are going to have to deal with VERY COLD (zero & below) temps and VERY HIGH amounts of snow. Usually the LLBean hightop duckboots are the way to go, but for quick trips out or in my case, driving to work with a manual transmission - my duckboots come off kind of clunky.
Enter the slip-on storm chasers, or "Sneaker Boots" as I like to call them. At first I thought they would be too clunky, but wearing them out in the elements I feel they are just big enough to knock off snow & deal with the sub-freezing temps (-- and they do!) but small enough for me to shift gears and not feel like I'm wearing clown shoes. Also -- These hybrid boots are CRAZY warm, and were surprisingly well fit for slip ons.
They are comfortable to wear around the yard, getting the mail, or just running errands. LLBean's quality control is top notch - great build & assembly and I wouldnt be surprised if these lasted me at least 8-10 seasons (my duck boots are 18 years old and still work GREAT!!) -- take this into account when contemplating their price break -- quality is NOT cheap, nor should it be, but $10 a winter for 10 winters is a fair rationalization.
I never had any fit problems - I wear a size 9 and it fit great with regular athletic socks. There is a little bit of play when you first wear them, but it seems to form fit to your foot the more you wear them.
In conclusion I feel these are a GREAT product that will last me for years. as usual, nice job LL Bean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by johnth Completely Satisfied
I'm a real estate appraiser in western Washington state. Fall and winter months are more than a little soggy. This shoe keeps my feet warm and dry and the slip on feature is convenient for removal when accessing the interior of homes. Highly recommended.
