Rated 5 out of 5 by Kabri Best boots ever, even for girls!
I am a farmer, orchard manager and as a hobby compete with my dogs in herding, usually in very wet, muddy farms and fields. The fact that other reviewers said these run small, I decided to try a men's boot. I wear a woman's 8, the men's 7 fits well! These boots are SO comfortable, my feet stay dry and WARM, and these are the first "barn" or "farm" boots that I can actually move and walk easily in. I can drive and climb a ladder to trim trees wearing these. I just bought another pair as replacement for when these wear out. If they wear out? Or if LL Bean changes the style or sizing. These are very tough.

The shoes are well constructed and stylish. However I am adding my voice to the others who noted that these shoes do run small and are way too narrow for an average man's foot! I strongly suggest including a wider (E or EE width for larger men with larger, wider feet). Both pairs hurt my feet and I must return them for a larger size. The so called medium (D) width is a misnomer. They are in fact smaller than the label claims. Time to make the change LL Bean before we take our large feet to another maker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hawnhunter Perfect look; perfect fit.
I already own a pair of your traditional rubber boots and also a pair of your mocs. I love them both. I needed waterproof footwear that was more dressy to wear on those rainy working days going to or coming from my law office in business attire, then feeding my animals on the farm after work. These storm chasers fit the bill. They look great and are completely waterproof and functional without looking too informal/grubby. I know these are not made in Maine but meet your revised specs. Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by AAHLLBean Husband Loves These!
My husband normally wears a B width, but has found these shoes to be very comfortable. He wears them walking the dog and has found the traction to be very good in the snow and says the shoes are more comfortable than his sneakers.
Great find and great product! Thank you LL Bean.

I've now bought several pairs of shoes from LLBean - it's the only place I'll buy shoes online.
I bought these boots 2 months ago as a supplement to the hiking boots I normally wear in the winter months. They have a nice look - while casual, I can also wear them to work. (Admittedly, my office isn't super-dressy.)
I ordered a 10.5, which is my usual LLBean size and they do feel a BIT on the big side. However, I wouldn't go smaller. And with a pair of thicker socks - white "sport" socks or hiking socks - they are fine. Even with thinner "dress" socks, the slip isn't enough for my foot to come out.
I've been wearing them a lot lately, especially after the recent blizzard. They are warm and comfortable, and I haven't had any problems walking in the ice and snow. They've also held up very nicely so far. Granted, it's only been 2 months, but they've seen a fair amount of bad weather and show no signs of damage, or even wear and tear.

I wear a 10.5 D and that's what I ordered. They were way too long and the heels slipped my socks down my feet. LL Bean has impeccable customer service and made no qualms about replacing them with a pair of requested size 10s. Wow! STILL too big and while they didn't pull my socks down, they still slipped on my heels. So again, LL Bean graciously accepted them back and replaced them with a pair of 9.5s. I haven't worn a pair of 9.5s since high school, but they fit well. So I was surprised in the latest e-mail advertising them and suggesting to go up to the next size if you need a half size. Wow. I say just the reverse. Go down a size. Strangely, the 9.5s are still long enough, fit well, and do not cause any toe discomfort.

I bought the men's size 7 1/2 D. The materials and workmanship are very good, but they are too narrow at the toes, and too broad at the ankle. I had my doubts seeing the photos, as the toes looked overly narrow. Won't be buying any of the boots, as they all look the same way, narrowed at the big toe area. I can only wear them for short periods of time, as they pinch my big toes. I don't have broad feet, it just looks as if they chose a sleek, narrow look over the actual function of having some toe room. I find them overly loose at the ankles, too, even for a loafer.

Popped on the LL Bean site thinking about getting a new pair of these. I've had mine for a number of years and wear them a lot. They are starting to show some wear. I'm 62 and it's the only shoe in my lifetime that really kept my feet warm and dry. I still plan on replacing mine, but it seems I might have to go to the local LL Bean store to insure the right fit. I love these shoes.

Wore this model 4 months and they were decent enough until recently after the leather uppers got significantly wet. Now the rubber / leather seem on the top of both feet digs in unbearably uncomfortably. I wore the 6" laced boot daily in the 90's before switching to these slip-on storm chasers about year 2000 ; I've worn dozens of these boots until they were literally in pieces - I'm now reluctant to ever buy another model again.

The Stormchaser slip on are my favorite shoes. I have owned a pair for approx 12 years and it is time to retire them and replace with a new pair. The 12 year old pair still look good but the bottoms are starting to fail. These shoes have helped me deal with bad weather as our family relocated from Maryland to Kansas and now Grand Rapids, MI. In Grand Rapids I wear them back and fourth to work from November to April due the amount of snow we receive.
After ordering a new pair I am very disappointed. I normally wear a size 8 1/2 and knew to order a half size smaller. The size 8 had a poor fit. The heal would slip. So I returned and ordered a 7 1/2 and they were too small in the toe box.
I'm still a Bean fan but will shop some competitors to see if I can find a replacement shoe to help combat the winter weather of West Michigan.
