My husband normally wears a B width, but has found these shoes to be very comfortable. He wears them walking the dog and has found the traction to be very good in the snow and says the shoes are more comfortable than his sneakers.
Great find and great product! Thank you LL Bean.

I've now bought several pairs of shoes from LLBean - it's the only place I'll buy shoes online.
I bought these boots 2 months ago as a supplement to the hiking boots I normally wear in the winter months. They have a nice look - while casual, I can also wear them to work. (Admittedly, my office isn't super-dressy.)
I ordered a 10.5, which is my usual LLBean size and they do feel a BIT on the big side. However, I wouldn't go smaller. And with a pair of thicker socks - white "sport" socks or hiking socks - they are fine. Even with thinner "dress" socks, the slip isn't enough for my foot to come out.
I've been wearing them a lot lately, especially after the recent blizzard. They are warm and comfortable, and I haven't had any problems walking in the ice and snow. They've also held up very nicely so far. Granted, it's only been 2 months, but they've seen a fair amount of bad weather and show no signs of damage, or even wear and tear.

I wear a 10.5 D and that's what I ordered. They were way too long and the heels slipped my socks down my feet. LL Bean has impeccable customer service and made no qualms about replacing them with a pair of requested size 10s. Wow! STILL too big and while they didn't pull my socks down, they still slipped on my heels. So again, LL Bean graciously accepted them back and replaced them with a pair of 9.5s. I haven't worn a pair of 9.5s since high school, but they fit well. So I was surprised in the latest e-mail advertising them and suggesting to go up to the next size if you need a half size. Wow. I say just the reverse. Go down a size. Strangely, the 9.5s are still long enough, fit well, and do not cause any toe discomfort.

I bought the men's size 7 1/2 D. The materials and workmanship are very good, but they are too narrow at the toes, and too broad at the ankle. I had my doubts seeing the photos, as the toes looked overly narrow. Won't be buying any of the boots, as they all look the same way, narrowed at the big toe area. I can only wear them for short periods of time, as they pinch my big toes. I don't have broad feet, it just looks as if they chose a sleek, narrow look over the actual function of having some toe room. I find them overly loose at the ankles, too, even for a loafer.

Popped on the LL Bean site thinking about getting a new pair of these. I've had mine for a number of years and wear them a lot. They are starting to show some wear. I'm 62 and it's the only shoe in my lifetime that really kept my feet warm and dry. I still plan on replacing mine, but it seems I might have to go to the local LL Bean store to insure the right fit. I love these shoes.

Wore this model 4 months and they were decent enough until recently after the leather uppers got significantly wet. Now the rubber / leather seem on the top of both feet digs in unbearably uncomfortably. I wore the 6" laced boot daily in the 90's before switching to these slip-on storm chasers about year 2000 ; I've worn dozens of these boots until they were literally in pieces - I'm now reluctant to ever buy another model again.

The Stormchaser slip on are my favorite shoes. I have owned a pair for approx 12 years and it is time to retire them and replace with a new pair. The 12 year old pair still look good but the bottoms are starting to fail. These shoes have helped me deal with bad weather as our family relocated from Maryland to Kansas and now Grand Rapids, MI. In Grand Rapids I wear them back and fourth to work from November to April due the amount of snow we receive.
After ordering a new pair I am very disappointed. I normally wear a size 8 1/2 and knew to order a half size smaller. The size 8 had a poor fit. The heal would slip. So I returned and ordered a 7 1/2 and they were too small in the toe box.
I'm still a Bean fan but will shop some competitors to see if I can find a replacement shoe to help combat the winter weather of West Michigan.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MTCustomer nice shoe - size chart off
These shoes should serve me well as a functional, casual winter shoe. However, I was disappointed because I ordered what should have been the correct size and had to return them for one size larger. I have an older pair of Bean gumshoes that are size 12. And, if I order by the European size 46, I can be reasonably certain the shoe will fit. The size chart for the storm chaser indicates that the size 12 is a European 47, but when I ordered that size, the shoe was very much too small.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MountainMiser Cheap product not made in Maine
Like others have admitted, I should've bought the traditional Moc which is a quality product made in the USA. This boot is a nice looking slip-on that has an aggressive looking tread but is deceiving because it is absolutely not made for ice or packed snow. I was sliding all over the place. VERY DANGEROUS! After a couple of times walking through some moderately wet snow and slush, the seams between the sole and the rubber side leaked water into the shoe. Unless you wear them in the winter during dry conditions or just for the good looks, they are pretty useless.

I tried two pair of these and had the same problem with both. The toe box in the left shoe isn't wide enough. That is a problem I've never had with any other shoes. No more Storm Chasers for me.
