The shoes are very comfortable - the sole is well cushioned to withstand rocks and uneven ground. The issue is the way the shoes lace and the lack of length on the tongue. The shoes use a hook instead of an eye on the top for the laces. This wouldn't be a major problem if the tongue wasn't too short. As you walk, the laces work over the top of the tongue and then unhook from the shoe - forcing you to stop all too frequently to retie the laces. The laces are also part of the problem in they don't stay tight. A poor choice of material for the laces. I will likely replace the laces in the near future, but for a $120+ shoe, I shouldn't need to do this.
