I bought the Bar Harbor boots because I work in a boatyard and need something strong , warm , reliable and comfortable . These Bar Harbor boots are all of that and more ! I walk through snow piles , mud puddles , water puddles ... no leaks ! Temperatures this past winter were very cold for the Mid Atlantic and my feet were never warmer ! Who ever works outside in these conditions should invest in these boots....it would be an investment for a lifetime !

Boots are beautiful; I have tried on, but not worn. The weather is warm here now, but I will be ready for next Winter. I was pleased with fit, very roomy with no socks, so should be perfect with socks.

I love these boots! After the horrendous winter in the Northeast, and ruining a pair of plastic rainboots, I realized I needed to invest in some serious boots that would keep my feet and legs warm, protected, and able to smash through snow and puddles alike during my three mile commute to work. These boots are exactly what I wanted and needed. They are super durable and keep my feet warm, dry and happy. Because they are leather, it took a little bit to wear them in, but now they fit like a glove. I have received nothing but positive feedback when I wear them, and I love that they have the removable liner.
The only things I would say to look out for is the sizing. I am usually a solid 7.5, so I got an 8. There is definitely room in the toe, but it just means I can comfortably wear big, fluffy socks if I wanted. I think if I had sized down, they wouldn't be comfortable. Also, like I said, because they are quality leather, they do take some wearing in, so the first time I laced them up, the laces hurt my hands a little bit, from all the tugging. But now, about two weeks after having getting them, they lace up just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Krausali Great boots for sloppy conditions!
I park 2 streets over and 2 blocks away from where I work, so I needed some good rain boots to slug through the soggy Kentucky spring rain. These boots fit the bill perfectly! I trudged through whatever gross stuff brews in inner city puddles and my feet stayed bone dry. I can't wait to try them out in next winter's snow!
The construction is solid; stitching seems tight. I got a size 9, which I wear normally, and as other reviews have said they are quite roomy. If that bothers you, go a half size down. However, I will say they fit - were snug even - with the fleece liners for colder weather. So for me, the extra room is no bother if it means I can wear these boots year round.

I needed a waterproof tall boot that I could get my foot in and out easily. I love this boot! It looks good and has good support and is still flexible enough to drive in. A great boot

Rated 5 out of 5áby Delawarewinter Durable, waterproof, warm winter boots
I purchased the Bar Harbor Rain Boot in Women's Size 11 about two weeks ago. I haven't had a chance to wear them until today, but so far can say they are warm, dry, and durable.
I also purchased the Cotton Ragg Knee High Boot Sock in Size Large in color Deep Wine. It didn't have a link to review this item, but they fit me, and my calf circumference is 18''-19'', very large!
They are very warm, stay up and there is no fraying.
In my review I do believe I provided the wrong color name, but the color name is Oakwood/Rootbeer

Love the boots - they are very warm and very comfortable. I was a little bit concerned about the size - my feet are size 5.5 very wide. I bought size 6 medium (since LLBean doesn't make size 5) and I do not regret it. Love them

áby rkeefer Great Upgrade Boot
I have had llbean snow boots and regular rain boots, but these make a great upgrade if you need something more rugged. I have a bit of a walk to our animals and as the snow got deeper this winter, these were a lifesaver. I don't have to worry about snow sneaking inside the top and there is no way for water to seep through, even around the laces. The insert is very snug and keeps my whole leg warm, even if I slip them on barefoot to run out to the mailbox.
They are bulky, but in a good way for me. Makes me feel sturdy in a foot of slush. I can step in about a foot of running water and still have dry socks. Easy to clean. They lace at the top of my shin, so they took a lot of wear to break in. (My husband had to pull them off me the first time.) I usually wear an 8.5, and an 8 fits me perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5áby smcl These boots changed my life!
I have been going stir-crazy this winter with the endless snow, stuck inside with my baby daughter. These boots changed that! They are comfortable, warm, and waterproof. Some days, I am outside for hours doing errands (and climbing over snow drifts, walking through giant slush puddles, etc) with my baby on me in the carrier and bags of groceries on my shoulders. These boots have made it all possible ... and I get compliments on how they look everywhere I go. Best purchase ever. Wish I had ordered them at the beginning of winter!
I am a size 8.5 in most shoes. I ordered these in 8, and the fit is perfect. I also love that the liner is removable so I can use them in spring/fall if need be. They are certainly chunky, but they need to be in order to withstand this weather. I have pretty skinny legs, and they still look great despite how heavy-duty they are.

Warm and dry = happy feet. Well worth the price. I expect to have these boots for years to come. Boots run big. I normally wear a size 8 1/2 and ordered the size 8 boot. It fits perfect with the removable inserts but come spring time when I just need rain boots they will be a little big.
