Rated 2 out of 5 by ChattaChiMama The fit isn't right
The proportions are wrong on this top; it needs to be shorter, boxier, and the sleeves are entirely too tight. I'm 5'6", 125 pounds, and the small (usually generous in LLBean) was too small. If you still want to try it, order a size up.

Thinner terry cotton than I was expecting. Almost cheap for the price. Another reviewer was right-- you can't roll the sleeves up past a couple inches--they are sewn too fitted and can't roll back. I have thin fore arms. My two cuffs when unrolled don't even match. The woman in the picture--the loose cuffs aren't what you get. If I hadn't gotten it at the 2x daily markdown price, i would be returning for refund. Not worth the full price.

I hate to say this because I am not entirely sure--but--when I received this pullover, it appear to have been previously worn. It was neatly folded in the plastic bag, but upon opening it, I saw something that definitely the didn't belong on it, some kind of dirt or food. It wasn't a huge amount, but enough for me to notice it immediately. Furthermore, one of the sleeves was rolled up and buttoned with the tab, and the other sleeve had the cuff folded back (not neatly) about two inches. It appeared that someone had been assessing the sleeve length By the way, the sleeves are too darn tight (I weigh about 110 lbs.). The fabric was cheap-looking and not soft. I would expect it to shrink in the washer. I packed it right backed up and away it went. I make many purchases from LL Bean that I am pleased with, but not this one.

Do not plan on rolling up sleeves. Much too tight for that. Will keep as a comfortable pullover. But wouldn't order again.

I read a lot of the reviews before purchasing. Glad I did, and made the purchase. I'm wearing it now. :)
1) Yes, the sleeves are narrow, but honestly, I don't plan to roll them up much, if ever. I'm always cold and rarely wear even a 3/4 sleeve, because then I feel chilly.
2) Detailing at neckline and cuff looks like a sweatshirt. It's cute, but better because the fit has that nice, slightly fitted cut, as described. So, I can wear this, feel comfy, and yet not boxy and sloppy.
3) Slightly fitted does not mean tight. For someone who doesn't want a boxy fit, or a roll-hugging fit, (wink), this is a great choice.
4) Fabric: Not thick like a traditional sweatshirt. It kinda feels like a lighter-weight sweatshirt turned inside out. Very nice mid-layer weight.
Hope this is helpful if you're trying to decide on this top.

I returned the Indigo Heather as it was way below the hip, not exactly the look I wanted in a pullover.

Rated 2 out of 5 by kholrabi123 Sleeves are too narrow to roll
Purchased 2 of these to try and liked the weight of the fabric and generous fit elsewhere, but I cannot fathom why LLBean would make the sleeves so narrow in the forearm. Makes it almost impossible to roll and way too tight when rolled. My forearms are skinny to average at best, and it's not a problem until you start trying to roll the sleeves. I guess if you purchase a size up it will help with the arms, but for me it would have been too big everywhere else.

Great cool morning shirt. I am 5' 10' and 130 lbs and It is hard to find clothes for my body type. The cut is just what I was looking for. Not too tight and not too loose.

I agree that the colors are really cute, but this pullover is way too long for me (I am 5'5). It also stretches after the first wear.

Rated 1 out of 5 by KLD1 Not for households with cats
I was so excited to get the heathered version of this sweater - the color (spruce) was exquisite, the shape was exactly what I wanted - slightly boxy, full and comfy.
But 5 minutes out of the bag and it had pulls. My cat, a pencil, even a door hinge I got too close to - all pulled out the loose threads. Within days, I realized I could never wear it out of the house. I should have returned it, but I'm not a shopper, and generally Bean doesn't disappoint. I love the color and fit, so it's my weekend lounging sweatshirt. But I'll never buy another.
