Rated 3 out of 5 by tennislvr UPF shirt
I purchased this shirt in the blue size sm & med. The small was the better fit. Medium was huge. I am 5'7" and weigh 128lbs. I returned them because I didn't feel that the quality was to my liking. I wear a UPF shirt over a tank top most days from spring to early fall as I live in Southern California. The sun here can be quite brutal especially on my Irish skin. That said, I need shirts that are durable as well as stylish. I didn't feel that I was getting that for the price of this shirt. I do love LlBean quality as a rule but this shirt was not for me.

I prefer this Cool Weave Stretch fabric fabric over the Tropic Wear shirts. This fabric is substantially thinner and has stretch properties for comfort. My measurements are 5'4", 34A x 29 x 39 and I am typically an XS in LL Bean tops. I ordered both the XS and S in this shirt based on the shrinkage that other reviewers talked about. I started with the XS and it fit as expected, out of the bag. I washed and dried this shirt in normal heat (even though the fabric care says low heat) and did not experience adverse shrinkage. There was a mild increase in the puckering of the fabric after laundering but that would only affect the length, and negligibly so. I am sticking with the XS and sending the S back unopened. The XS fits me well in the body but with enough looseness for ease, just as is pictured by the model.
I'm docking off one star for a few things that fall short for me. Firstly and most importantly for me are the colors. I love the mini plaid pattern but think that the color selection is too dark. I plan to use this shirt as sun protection from the hot & sunny, Southern California summers and lighter colors don't absorb sunlight as much as darker ones. Beige or buttery yellow would be great! :-)
The shirt only has one zippered pocket, at the right, side seam (which is a mesh pocket, by the way). An additional pocket, perhaps at the chest would have been a welcome addition.
Note, that the mesh in the back vent is only as big as the opening, which is about two inches wide.
To end on a good note, I love the thin & stretchy fabric, the collar extension for additional neck protection, tabs for rolling up the sleeves and the fit of the shirt.

This is a good go to shirt for hiking either as a single layer or over a tee shirt. It provides sun protection as well as being absorbent. The medium provides a roomy shirt or a light covering over a tee shirt. I have both shirts in the magenta and blue. Great product for the price.

Living in AZ, I shop online; I recently was in VA and tried this blouse on. I liked the material, look and fit. After washing, it shrunk and fits too snuggly, so I'll be returning it. Don't know whether to try the next size up. It's slightly tailored and don't want to make another return.
Disappointed, as I really like the fabric and initial fit. Gave it one star because I expect better from LL Bean. Great cut, style and fabric, but it should not shrink!

Rated 2 out of 5 by CeeZeeCZ Puckering after washing changes it's size.
Tried it on at the store and it fit fine. But after washing and air drying it ended up way to tight across the bust. The puckering totally changed the fit. I'll be returning it. Not sure if I'll go up to the next size because the jump from small to medium is a big gap and it'll likely not fit in the shoulders, etc.
