Rated 2 out of 5 by 49er Loved the styling, but...
The weight was perfect and I loved the light quilting, color combination and the reversability factor. Unfortunately, the fit didn't fit. The chest was tight while it fit everywhere else. It might work as an outer layer, unfortunately the armholes gaped. Not worth keeping even if the sale price is right. Returning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ProductReview Love this vest!
I have this vest in 2 colors and will probably break down and buy the slate/grey color as well. Those who say it is light/thin are correct but it is great for layering or wearing with a coat/jacket, something you can't do with a 'puffy' vest. The only thing I wish LLBean would do on clothes, luggage, etc. is go back to using really well-made zippers!

Rated 4 out of 5 by EmilyP XL okay for smaller Plus
**Just commenting on the sizing for now, I have yet to see how warm it is in colder weather.**
FYI for the bigger ladies, an XL should be fine if you're anything like me (5'3", 40DD, and 16/18). Obviously, it's not a big & puffy vest, so it looks a bit silly if you layer it over a hooded sweatshirt or something. For the record, it still fit okay with a hoodie, but was a bit snug.
Love the dark grey that I chose, but I wish they had more variety in neutral colors (an olive or tan would be nice).

I expected something that would actually provide warmth. Wore in on a 50+ degrees day and got nothing.
So if you want to make a fashion statement, fine. If you want something that is actually warm, don't purchase this item.

I love this vest! I just ordered it in a second color. It is lightweight but warm. One thing I love about it is that I can wear it under a sweatshirt for a close layer. I am in Alaska, and we need layers when fishing or hiking etc. it isn't too bulky, but makes a definite difference! And I love the weight of it all by itself on cool days for running errands.

Rated 3 out of 5 by northbass Didn't work for me...
The vest didn't work for me, I'm apple shaped and it was a tad to tight across the chest, which caused it to bell out way too much, making my waist and hips look bigger than they are. Now with that said it would probably be cute on some one more pear shaped. I ordered the blue and the color is beautiful, and the vest feels well made, just didn't work for me.
Wish Bean offered a larger selection of plus size clothes....I'm forced to often shop elsewhere because of the lack of plus size's to choose from.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Glistar Great lightweight vest
I have really enjoyed this vest the past winter and have had friends wear it and like it as much as I do. It is a lightweight, no fuss vest that sits close to the body, retaining some of my shape. It isn't the warmest of vests, a big puffy one would probably serve you better for warmth, but this vest ticks all the boxes for me.
The vest is high LL Bean quality where the stitching on the stitched side has not frayed despite having washed it and being roughly packed into suitcases. It feels and performs the same as the day I got it.
And although it is reversible, I almost never turn it onto the smooth side b/c it's not very pretty or flattering. It's nice having the option, but I could never imagine why I would ever do so.

I have already recommended this vest to 2 friends. I got the blue on blue, and am very pleased with it. It is light, but warn. This is excellent for spring, and fall

Rated 5 out of 5 by DebsinSanDiego Light yet warm - travel friendly
another exceptional light, yet warm, vest. I am taking this to Germany - should work well. Easy to scrunch down in a backpack.
Zippers worked fine for me. We'll see with the test of time.
It would be even better if the vest had a hood zipped in the neck area.
