Rated 4 out of 5áby bhow hope my review is more informational
I read all other reviews and still did not have a clear idea of what size to order, so I ordered an XL. which is TOO big. However, jacket seems well made and has features in description so I am ordering a Lg.
Now, I am 5'9" and weigh between 150 to 155, I have long arms and broad shoulders. I ordered the XL. due to worry that the sleeves won't be long enough. These sleeves are plenty long in the XL so I am hoping they will be good in the Lg. Shoulders are plenty wide so there will be no problem there. This jacket does seem boxy and I will check it out better when the Lg. arrives to see if I can somehow taper the back in or add a drawstring into the waist. It is plenty big in the XL to layer if need be, so I feel the Lg will be as well.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you LLBean!!! I am short (5'3"), curvy, and to use an old-fashioned term "buxom". I had almost given up on finding hunting clothes to fit- too tight across the chest, too long in the arms & legs, &/or cheaply made, ugly, flimsy fabric, etc., etc. Your women's field coat and partridge vest arrived today and I am so thrilled I could weep tears of joy! Beautifully crafted & styled- with wonderful, practical features & best of all they FIT!!!! Kudos to your telephone sales gals. They were helpful & patient giving me precise garment measurements & asking useful questions to help me gauge the roominess I wanted. They recommended size women's Large in the Partridge Vest and women's Medium in the field coat- spot on-on both!
Thank You again, I have been and will continue to be a loyal
LL Bean customer.

Rated 4 out of 5áby NYgal good purchase
I have an older Bean barn jacket, flannel lined, PM, old style without the "princess" seaming (go back to old style please), in loden, which is OK but not suitable for Fall hiking/hunting season, though I no longer hunt. I got this jacket in reg. Med. which is fine (petite sleeves would be shorter). I do a lot of hiking in Fall, not necessarily where hunting is ongoing. Didn't want to go "whole hog" with an entire hunter orange coat/jacket, so this will work out just fine. The style is like the older barn jacket, more boxy than fitted, which is great because you can wear a vest/sweater underneath and still be able to move around. Wish it came in petite, but this is serviceable. Thanks, LL Bean for the

I don't want to get shot while walking my dogs, and this jacket is both comfortable and very visible.

It is good to know that LL Bean stocks upland gear for women. Most other retailers don't. That said it is a great product. It fits great and looks like it will give years of hunting enjoyment.

Rated 5 out of 5áby CarolinVT Great coat...
Bought this field coat for my grandson as the childrens jackets were not as cool looking and the mens sizes were too big. It is great looking on him and he loves looking like a real "hunter"!

Rated 4 out of 5áby txhntr Overall good field jacket
Wore on a pheasant hunting trip in South Dakota. It functioned as advertised and also was wind resistant which was great since I live in Texas and it was 90 the day before I left so 50 and windy felt very cold. It offered good protection and visibility in tall heavy cover. The fit wasn't great for my pear shape but a larger size was too big everywhere else. I loved the front loading pocket but it's too small to put a pheasant through.
