I wore these camping and hiking right out of the box. They were comfortable, waterproof and gave great support. If you have a narrow foot these may be too wide for you. They are perfect for me though. I'm thrilled with my purchase!

I've had these shoes for a little over a month and am very happy with them. I'm a professional gardener, and work 3-6 hours per day. These shoes felt great right out of the box, and, so far, are completely waterproof. Regarding size, I typically wear an 8.5 in sport shoes (tennis and running), but wear an 8 in all other shoes. I purchased size 8 and the fit is perfect with mid-weight socks. If I were to wear heavy hiking socks with these shoes, I would probably go up to an 8.5. Regarding weight, I don't consider them heavy, but I also don't consider them light. Regarding everything else, for what I want, they are perfect -- great stability and traction when walking on uneven ground, a stiff sole which helps when I'm digging with a shovel, and, again, they ARE waterproof. I highly recommend them. Oh, one more thing -- I have my own inserts, so I didn't use the ones that came with the shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MammaBear81 great product!
I loved them the moment I saw them, but loved them even more when I wore them on my first winter outdoor activities. My shoes were in snow, mud, and water and my feet stayed dry the whole day.

The bottom grip design looked very nice. After hikes, you will probably be clanking them against rocks to get rid of any dried mud in all the little crevices, but that's to be expected. They felt a little big and a little wide for me, although if you wear a wool hiking sock, this is probably not an issue. They are just not for me. To wear a shoe this heavy, I may as well have a boot on and have the added ankle support.

These low-cut hikers offer really good support (for a low cut), and they're pretty light and very comfortable. I tried on pretty much every shoe in the store, including Keene and other "top" hiker brands, but this one felt the best right out of the box and was also the lightest. It was also a better value. I've only done a few hikes so far, but traction is great, and you get a good feel for the trail but still feel protected from rocks and roots. I like the top lace hooks and the removable insole too. They seem to breath pretty well. I haven't tried the waterproof-ness; I think this feature might make them a little hot to wear on a summer day, but I mostly hike in cooler weather, so I'm not too worried about that. I stand at my desk at work and have worn them to work a few times -- my feet felt great at the end of the day! I usually wear a 6 or 6.5, and the 6 fits just right with a little room for thicker socks. Highly recommend these shoes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Tris1914 Miss matched insoles.
I have purchased footware many times in the past. So when I received my first pair ordered I was surprized to find the insoles to be mismatched. So back they went. Upon receiving my second pair it to had the same defect. I'm very unimpressed with the quaility and now must return another pair of these shoes.

shoe lasted maybe 2 months and is no longer waterproof. For the money I paid I would not recommend these to anyone.
