Rated 3 out of 5 by Lorri7 Waterproof but not very warm
Well, it's pretty waterproof but not very warm. With the primaloft lining, it's about as warm as my old raincoat without the lining. I wonder if LL Bean would consider selling a thicker primaloft lining replacement. Luckily, I live in California where it does not get very cold. I would have been sorely disappointed (and cold) if I still lived in Connecticut. Although I must say that raincoats are meant for rain -- therefore above 32 degrees F. Fit seems to be true to size. No problem getting the size small over a blazer -- I'm between a size 4 and 6 these days. However, the petite is quite long -- probably meant for women who are exactly 5' 4". So if you are just around 5 feet or shorter, you may want to go with the mid-thigh version, which will be longer on you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by EndofBean Huge (or too small) Disappointment
This is my first online product review ever and I wish 'no stars' was an option. I have the previous version of the H2O rain coat and love it, but I've worn and washed it so much I decided it was time to replace it. I ordered the new version in M Reg because my current coat in that size is almost too big, so, having read reviews that the new one is somewhat more fitted, I thought that would work. But either the coat I received was S mislabeled as M or the new version is significantly more fitted and DOES NOT run anywhere near 'close to size.' I could hardly get the coat zipped and I was wearing only a t-shirt under it. I don't think even an XL would work; the design has a weird (for a raincoat) waist, so an XL might fit but it would look terrible. Now I (1) have to go to the trouble of returning it and (2) have to go to the trouble of finding a new favorite rain coat. Suffice it to say I won't be looking for it at LL Bean.

This is the best coat I have ever owned. The fabric and construction, and the features are excellent: the zip out lining adds a whole dimension of versatility. The fit is perfect.

Rated 3 out of 5 by InTheRain Price too High for Value
I was disappointed with the lining which was very skimpy. I bought this in January and I realized it would only be wearable in May. To pay full price for this coat was simply not worth waiting 5 months til it was wearable. Otherwise, the coat has all sorts of features, pockets, the hood, but the thin inadequate lining made it impractical. tried to wear the coatt in 50 degrees, and was quite cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by meemo H2OFF long rain coat
the old version (with the wool liner - yes, I wore it that many years) of this coat was my absolutely favorite coat of all time. I hope this one works out as well. The coat is well made, waterproof, blocks the wind and is more form fitting than the old coat. I no longer look like the evil emperor from Star Wars when I wear it. It is also warmer. The hood isn't as floppy but not detachable, although I never detached it on the old coat. One thing I do NOT like about it is the zipper. It is a good YSS zipper but it zips from the wrong side. You have to seat it just so or it won't zip correctly. That is annoying but other than that I look forward to wearing this one for 10 years or so like I have the last one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Princefilbert Better than expected!
I always expect and receive great products from LLBean but this is an exceptional coat--I hardly ever rave about purchases since my expectations are always met. This time my expectations were exceeded. Love, love, love this coat. Kudos! I purchased this coat with the thought that it would make a good fall/spring addition to my wardrobe after reading the description. The fit is perfect, the material and construction is high quality and I believe this will be used throughout the year as both a rain coat and one for warmth in above zero winter temps thanks to the removable lining. Thanks for an excellent product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by neuroticshopper bulkiness interfers with clean, long lines of coat
I have this coat in both black and navy, unlined. I love the coats and wear them all the time. The black I try to save for more formal wear over another coat. With the lining, however, there is too much bulkiness to please me. It ruins the lines of the long coat. I prefer to have the coat unlined, and to wear it over a heavier coat in harsh weather.

I just purchased a replacement coat for the one I bought, and have worn, for 7 years.
My 3 daughters are still wearing theirs.
I love this coat for the warmth, length, and look.

I love this coat...EXCEPT...why is the "pull tag" part of the zipper on the LEFT side???? Anyone else have this problem, or did I get a "defective" coat?? Never had a coat that had the pull tag on the LEFT. Very hard to get used to...contemplating returning.
