Yankee woman heads up the coast with her stash of coupons to challenge this coat. Long version not available in Freeport store, but I tried on the shorter version just to get the feel. Long version arrived on my doorstep two days later. Good coat, very good coat. Well made, cut well, zip pocket inside for car keys or phone, good size side pockets outside, zip lining warm but not bulky, hood well designed for good coverage, but not for a medieval monk, rain repellant and it's versatile - work or dressy. This coat is a good investment. Classy and functional today and should be way down the road. Just what Yankee women want.

I love this coat. It's perfect for work on a cold rainy day, which has always been a problem for me in the past since my pants get soaked if I'm wearing my winter coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by StPaulieGirl Wonderful all purpose coat
This coat is great in the rain with lots of features to keep the weather out. The zip out lining also makes it good for the fall transition time in Minnesota, which would mean winter in most places!
I ordered the khaki first but it looked wrinkled even after putting it in the dryer as recommended by Bean's customer service. The blue is much better. At 5'4 1/2 I typically wear a small petite, but that was tight across the shoulders. Medium Petite fit perfectly.
I love the snaps on the cuffs, which keeps the weather out. One small quibble is the phone pocket on the inside of the coat. You have to unzip the main zipper to get to the pocket. Consider an outside zipper in the next iteration.

Have worn these H2Off Long Coats since they first came out, but this newest version has been cut differently. Ordered large size to cover heavy sweaters and blazers, as I have in previous orders, but the new cut is narrow down the length of the coat and no longer serves that purpose. It is a high quality product but I expected it to be the same as previous years. Perhaps the primaloft liner is bulkier than the previous flannel lining. Very sorry to have to return it.

I love this coat. It's long enough to cover a longer skirt or dress, totally waterproof and the hood is adjustable so you can see with it up. I had been looking for just such a coat for years. I saw someone wearing this one and had to ask where she got it. I ordered it the next day and LOVE it.

Rated 4 out of 5 Does the Job
I am still lamenting the loss of the long dark green H2Off raincoat I purchased from LLBean in the mid-90's which was microfiber, A-line, and very flattering to any figure type. After many years, it lost its water repellancy and I had to replace it. I've had two coats from subsequent H2Off generations since then, and although the latest is an improvement over the previous one, it still does not replicate the fit and comfort of that first coat. But, it does what it says it does, i.e. keeps you dry, almost from head to toe. As a person who takes long walks with her dog in almost any weather, the coat will serve my needs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Silverlady116 Some things improved, some not
I REALLY wanted to like this raincoat which I saw as an upgrade to my much older LLBean H2Off raincoat, especially with the new Primaloft liner which I thought would be a major improvement on a very thin wool liner.
The plusses for this model: inset sleeves instead of raglan for less bulky fit, princess seaming down the front and slimmer, more attractive profile (about 2 inches narrower underarm to underarm), Primaloft liner, inverted pleat instead of kick pleat in the back (would do a better job of keeping rain off the lower legs), taped seams.
The minuses: the hood is sewn to the body of the coat and doesn't zip off and therefore no longer two snaps at the neck to pull the collar together (I liked to wear my older model as a long windbreaker); doesn't seem possible that this could keep one warm at -15 degrees because the Primaloft liner is thin (it got to -15 last winter where I live and only my LLBean Primaloft filled long coat--which I no longer see on their website--kept me warm).
This coat is a disappointment and I'm going to return it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Frequentshopper17 Deep Navy is Ink Blue. 80's style is still best.
What I bought in 80's is best. Its design and material were perfect. It was beautiful A line and color was so nice.
The former design was worst so far. It was like a plastic bag. It was too hot in rainy day and I fell I wore a plastic bag..
I bought this new design coat in Deep Navy. But it was shiny bright ink blue. It was not Deep Navy. I was disappointed with the color.
80's design is still popular. Please bring us back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by PidginSay Nice travel coat
I needed a all weather/situation coat to travel to Spain in the winter. This coat fits all the parameters nicely. Waterproof, warm and long, conservative, yet stylish. Best, very light and compressible for packing! However, I did need to return and order a size up from my usual size.
