Rated 5 out of 5 by GeorgiaPeach11 Great Flip Flop Slipper
I requested these for Christmas a few years ago because my feet get too hot in traditional slippers. I stumbled across these here at LL Bean and I haven't gone back since. I actually received them again this past Christmas because the original pair had a "thong blow out" that couldn't be repaired. While everyone's report of the shearling wearing off rather quickly at the pressure points is accurate, it doesn't seem to bother me since my feet are still cradled in the remaining material. I also do not find the soles to be too hard to walk around in but I generally prefer a more sturdy shoe anyway. It is definitely not the non-structured bottom of typical slippers. As each pair wears out I will continue to order more...please don't take this style away.

I received these as a gift last Christmas and fell in love with them. They fit perfectly, were comfortable and warm. However, within 3 months the lambs wool started to wear away and did not remain where toes and heels were. And yet, they are a shoe that can be put in the washing machine to wash and freshen up. Overall, yes I like them and would recommend them as a gift for anyone. But I'm disappointed they wear away.

Rated 1 out of 5 by pk101 Flop: Uncomfortable, sole too hard, no flex
I love flip flops and have many pairs that I use for the beach and as slippers. When I saw this concept, it sounded so perfect for slippers that I ordered a pair for myself and one as a gift. Unfortunately, for me, these were literally a flop. I found them to be extremely uncomfortable to walk in. The lining feels soft when you step in, but the sole is a solid mass of heavy material with no flex, so it just feels like you are lugging it around. It seems like many other reviewers do like them, so this is clearly a personal preference. As a point of reference, I find the most comfortable flip flops to be Sanuk and Reef (with wider straps). For slipper flip flops, I prefer the Acorn Spa flip flops over these. My "Wicked Good" Flip-Flops and my friend's pair just got donated to goodwill after collecting dust in a shoe basket for 6 months. I hope someone else can put them to better use. And if LL Bean wants to go back to the design drawing board, they should combine the sole of a Sanuk with the fleece lining...that might be the perfect slipper flip-flop.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Southerncali These are not the same
These are advertised as "back by popular demand" however these are not the same as the older style. In the past these shearling flip flops had shearling lining on the inside of the straps. They were the perfect slipper flip flop. I ordered these hoping that they would be the same as the older style but was very disappointed. The slipper is narrow and uncomfortable. I won't order another pair like this. When I discussed with customer service they shared that many people miss the old style with the shearling wrapped around the straps and lining the footbed. Why won't LLBean bring back the original?

I've had a couple of pairs of these, and want to really love them, but the problem is that the shearling wears off at all the pressure points, and fairly quickly. This leaves you with just bare leather under the balls of the feet, heels and toes, with shearling surrounding your feet. At these prices, I'd prefer they just compacted under the feet.

I have bought 3 pairs of these and when a couple of the colors went on sale I bought another pair in the same size, 7, as the regular priced ones I bought. I found the sale pair to be a bit more narrow and found that the outside of my foot hung off the side and rested right on the edge making it uncomfortable. I am sending these back and getting one size up in an 8.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LLevy Shearling wears thin at toes
I recommend these but with caution on shearling quality. I LOVE these flip flops and have bought several pair purely because they are so comfy and I like the fact that I'm walking on a natural fiber rather than a synthetic replication. My only complaint is that the the fleece wears thin and becomes nonexistent at the big toe with only a few weeks wear. I did send them back and got a replacement and it wore away even quicker. They are still comfy but the quality needs improving in the thickness and attachment of the shearling where it tends to wear thin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by doodlelander i like them, but not as good as in years past
I really do love the slippers, however they are narrow and not a "cushy" as a pair I had from a handful of years ago. The length is true to size but I personally find them narrow and could use to have a bit more cushioning. The sole is sturdy and overall I am pleased with the purchase but just hope they hold out as well as my old pair did.

I got these to wear for house shoes/slippers to cushion my feet as I have tile flooring. They do the job, and I wear them whenever I am in the house. The toe stem is a little stiff at first, but it is softening as I wear them. I think that they could be a tad wider, but that could just be my pony feet. I like the suggestion about using fleece on the underside of the thong. Good idea! Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase.

Wicked good, wicked comfortable, lots of support, which you wouldn't expect from a flip-flop. Love this one!
