Rated 3 out of 5 by pippin love them but rub/hit ankle
I love these boots - they are exactly what I need and are well made. The issue I have with them is that they hit my ankle/shin when I walk and have caused an irritation there. I tried tucking my pants in but it didn't help - could still feel the boot hitting my ankle. I want to be able to wear these boots so much cause they are perfect for my lifestyle (in and out of the house throughout the day with dogs) and just slip on. Looks like I may have to resort to tie ups.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer easy on and warm
I like the zipper for easy on and off, and it works nicely. They are nice and warm, and my feet are always cold. Many times my feet are cold in the winter even indoors after just going outside for a few minutes. I found them wide enough for my C/D width foot even though they are only available in a medium width, they fit fine, however I like my toes not to touch the front inside of my boots, so, I usually wear a 9w, or a 10m boot, because boots are not usually available in 1/2 sizes. And in this boot I ended up with a 11 because I felt the 10m was not quite long enough for my taste. The 11 fits very nicely, and the heel does not slip up and down, as does some boots and shoes that I have because I had to go up a size or so to accommodate for my wide foot. The instep fits nicely to hold the boot in place for me, unlike some boots that are loose across the instep letting the boot slide up and down on your foot.
I have bought discounted boots before, and have now started buying LL Bean boots, and they are definitely worth the extra money. I have also bought some other name brand footwear that should have been very nice but did not turn out to be the quality of the LL Bean boots..

Rated 5 out of 5 by TillyWilly Comfortable mud boot with great fit
I got this boot for doing chores in the often muddy & snowy areas where I must work. This boot came quickly and just in time for me to test them out in the mud & snow.
The fit is nice - maybe a bit snug towards to toes, but not too bad. The heel is a bit wide, but that is needed so you can easily pull them on and get them off. Once zipped up I hardly notice the wider heel. I ordered my true size because I didn't want the boot to be too big in the heel and have it moving up and down as others describe. I have no problems with it being hard to zip up or get on as others have. You do have to use the tab on the back to pull the boot on, but that is what it is there for. It is something I would expect in a boot that zips up. The boot provides nice ankle support as well which was an added bonus.
All in all I would say these will work well for me for rain, mud and snow. I did test them out in some snow drifts as well and my feet stayed nice, dry and warm. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer Nice Warm Winter Boots
I read the reviews first and wasn't sure if these would be right for me. I ordered them a half size bigger and wish I had not, but now I can wear lots of socks in them. They have a zipper on the sides I was not aware of, but that's ok. They are very comfortable albeit loose because I ordered them too big, but I like them alot and they are very warm. I have not gotten them very wet yet, but so far they have kept my feet warm and dry. They aren't as high as I expected but they are great. I recommend them and I think they fit true to size.

I am looking for a slip on boot that I can wear outside in the weather. While I am sure these would be warm, they are stiff and way to wide in the heel. I sent them back.

This boots are made very well-- however they pull down my socks - which I hate, and are hard to get your foot into. Feel good once they are on-- just too much for me. I am returning for the lace up ones.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jmb02129 Only problem-NOT TRUELY WATERPROOF
I am a total bean lover. I drive a LLBean Subaru, 90% of my wardrobe comes from bean, my dogs are outfitted with bean beds, bowls ,collars, leashes, toys. My home is full of bean products-I love all things bean, but I am very disappointed with this product. The boots are comfortable, very attractive but are not waterproof. I stood in my tub with water up to the zipper / gortex sections and my feet got wet. VERY SAD. I have been searching for an comfortable, attractive, all season, slip on, waterproof boot. These ain't them! Even worse-Bean has retired the Lounger bean boot! Dear Bean, please really make the storm chaser waterproof or bring back the Lounger! Thank you.

Haven't worn them but a couple times, but fit is good. No trouble slipping them on. No chaffing of shin, but my sock did extend past top edge of boot, but still no undue rubbing.

This boot fits on the foot just fine, but the problem is getting it on your foot if you have a high instep. I ordered a half size larger and still spent 5 minutes trying to get my foot all the way into the shoe. They've made it more "stylish" I guess. I also don't have a skinny ankle and could barely get the thing zipped up. This is with a very thin trouser sock as well. I'll keep it a few more days and hope that my constant thrusting and tugging may stretch it out enough that I can get into it. It looks nice once on, and my foot feels comfortable when walking. If you have thick ankles and a high instep, you may want to look elsewhere for a different boot.

I got these boots last year and I can't wait for cold weather this year so I can get them out and wear them. I mostly use them for dog walking and mountain biking. I bought a pair for my mom who does lots of outdoor farm chores and they work great for her as well. I got them a size larger so I can wear thick socks when I need more warmth. I rate them a 10 for comfort.
