Rated 5 out of 5 by quitelarge Can be worn without fanny pack
Unlike the "travel blazers" offered by other clothiers, this one doesn't shout "Tourist!." It's nice looking, well made, and could be worn pretty much anywhere, even with a tie. It's well worth its regular price and was a bargain at a discount I guess I'm not supposed to mention.

It seems ok for informal situations. I'm not sure it's good for interviews, etc.

I ordered the faded gold Easy-Care Travel Blazer and liked it so much that I ordered the olive gray. I've never owned a machine washable blazer before. Lots of pockets. My wife and daughters love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by rbneil Nice jacket, but didn't fit
I liked the jacket from the catalog description. It would be nice to have a good-looking, washable jacket for travel. And it looked good when I received it.
Unfortunately, the size I selected was too tight when buttoned. I could have exchanged it for a larger size, but then the sleeves (probably) would have been loo long. It would have taken too much time to get the new one and have the sleeve length tailored before my next trip. So I just returned it.
Again, I like the jacket. I may re-order it when I have more time.

Travel by an Amtrak Superliner, or perhaps when an airport layover is a bit longer than expected makes me want to step up the dress code. The Easy-Care Travel Blazer is perfect for the task. The dining car or the upper level steakhouse just feels better to me if I add the blazer, and the many secured pockets make it a practical choice. Tickets, boarding passes, passport, cards, and receipts can be "filed" securely.
Wrinkles are easily removed with the usually-lame output of a travel steamer or a quick pass through the dryer along with a damp bath towel. Your jeans or khakis and polo shirt already look better!
This jacket is NOT going to get you by the rigid standards of four-star establishments for dinner seating, but when you find yourself confronted by the compulsively obnoxious maitre d' at the pretentious airport restaurant, you will pass muster. If LL Bean adds a Navy blazer, I will buy another; the Southwest Chief is a two-night trip after all...

Have wanted this jacket for at least 5 years and finally broke down and bought it. Great fit; lots of pockets for quick storage. The bonus: it's washable.

Very true-to-size. Dressy enough for a shirt and tie, yet appropriate for biking across town in the dead of winter.

Sleeves are longer than stated and will require expensive alteration. The outer zipper pocket seems to be an unnecessary addition. On the plus side it is light weight and will be good for summer wear. The inner pockets are large and secure.

I have been looking for a Travel Blazer for years that is functional to hold all kinds of stuff from maps, phone, passport and water bottle but also neat so it can be worn to dinner on a Cruise ship. Bought numerous jackets over the years but they all were found wanting and most were returned. This one does the trick. Soft and light it is comfortable when out on the town and looks great with just a t-shirt but but it is also structured so it is not out of place with a shirt and tie. Just wish it also came in blue as khaki slacks are a staple for traveling.
