Looked great on the model in the catalog, but when I tried it on, it fit like a bag. I have a slim build, and this coat has no tailoring at all. Good color and good construction. Just wish they made it in a slimmer fit. Had to send it back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Furioso Excellent transitional jacket
For years, I have been looking for a no-nonsense, nice-looking midweight jacket, not too light, not too heavy, for weather in the 30s and 40s, a surprisingly frustrating and difficult task. Finally, this is the jacket. It's light and comfortable and has just the right amount of fleece insulation. Not over-engineered, not underengineered. Just right. The body is fleece-lined. The zippered hand-warmer pockets are nylon-lined, as are the sleeves.
Sizing: I am 6', 200 pounds, and usually wear an LL Bean large, but in this jacket, the XL is the right size, particularly if you plan to layer. I could wear the large, but it was very fitted.
The Pine Ridge Jacket is a classic, timeless-looking jacket, made just so for those chilly days and nights when an unlined jacket won't cut it and a winter coat is overkill.

I just received this jacket for Xmas and I have been wearing it every day since. To work, after work, everywhere. It is really rugged, warm, and nice looking. It is my new favorite jacket. I have already received a few compliments. I am 6'2 190 and the large tall is a perfect fit.

I originally ordered a large. When I tried it on it was more like an extra large. Talked to LL Bean and they told me that the jacket "does run large". So I returned the jacket and ordered an exchange for a medium. When I tried it on it was too small. Sending it back. There's nothing like trying a jacket on in the store before you buy.

Great jacket but any Canadians should note that US sizes tend to run larger than here at home, this is the third jacket I've purchased from a US company and I always have the same problem. I'm quite slim and usually take a small but a US small is more like a Canadian Medium. Hope this helps.

I tried the insulated jacket last week in Freeport. Most XL jackets these days have sleeves way too long for me. The size large sleeves were OK, but the shoulders were tight. XL sleeves were a bit long, but the fit was great. I had to order the jacket from home because they were out of stock in the color I wanted at the store! I got it in 3 days, and am completely satisfied with the XL size. I would like to see the model they use for arm length!!

Am loving the Pine Ridge jackets. This fits perfectly (small for female, 140 lbs,5'6") It will be a perfect work jacket (much nicer fit and feel than Carhartt) Have 2 colors in this and the insulated one...that should tell you, I'm impressed !!! The reviews said it ran small - which means it fits me. Most will probably need to order 1 size up

Nice jacket except it is sized way too small. I read the reviews and ordered a XXL instead of the XLI wear in every other Bean Jacket I own. No Dice. Sleeves are barely long enough and it is very tight in the shoulders. There is no way I could put a sweater underneath on a little colder day. Too Bad. Was the perfect color, style, weight, etc. Came today, going back tomorrow.

I have purchased a number of products from L. L. Bean & this is the first time the XXL Tall does not even come close to fitting. It is hard to beleave that this product could be this much smaller than the rest of L. L. Bean's XXL Talls. I liked the looks of the product but unable to wear.

Nicely tailored enough but not too much. I'm looking forward to wearing it to work this fall and winter.
