Rated 3 out of 5 by dozzie for short husky boys
The reviews all said these pants ran small so I ordered a 10 for my size 7 grandson. But I hade to return them. These size 10 are shorter than his size 7 trousers but much bigger in the waist. My boy is a tall thin kid but these pants are for short husky boys. They looked fine and well made--but for someone else!

Rated 4 out of 5 by bmc1129 Soft cords
I purchased the cayenne/sale color in these cords to try them. After reading the reviews I expected them to run a bit smaller than other pants offered here, so ordered a 6x/7 for my small-ish 6.5 year old boy. He has a slim waist and hips, and these fit him well there with adjustment. The legs were long for him, but not too long so I can see how if your boy is on the larger end of a size, maybe it's better to buy a size up. I am wondering if the knees will fade in these as others have commented, but for the sale price am OK trying these out. My son likes soft materials and often tries to wear shorts rather than jeans or pants because he does not like how the fabric feels on his legs. He did not complain after wearing these, so they're a keeper...even if they don't last as long as some of his other pants.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Gater For larger waists
My son is at the 50th % for his height/weight ratio ie exactly what the healthy average is. When the waist fits, even with it cinched a bit, the pants are barely long enough, almost high-waters. When we go up a size so the length will last the winter, we can cinch the waist but that just means the fabric bunches and balloons over his rear. Not OK for a 6th grader! We are keeping one pair of the smaller size because the fabric is thin ie: soft so my son likes it. (I on the other hand figure it will wear out soon but that's what happens when the price of cotton goes up, clothes get flimsy because the American consumer doesn't want to pay more than $30 for a pair of boys pants. Not really Bean's fault)
Beans' major competitor for kids clothes runs even bigger over the bum but they have Slim sizes which I will order for my next pair or cords for my son.

Rated 1 out of 5 by LLBeanah14 Bad Fabric
Purchased both red and green corduroy pants before Christmas. Green pants wore out in the knees and rear while the red pair is still fine. Both have had equal play. And as usual LL Bean's awesome customer service took care of the problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ShopLLOften Item shrinks
When I first purchased this time, I was pleased with the look and slim fit on my slender 13 year old. After two washings..following washing instructions, the pants no longer fit. Waist too tight and length too short. Will be returning these. Disappointed that they only have size up to 16. Really didn't like ironing them either!

Rated 2 out of 5 by BeanFanInNM Very casual with contrasting stitching
I received these today. I knew the styling was different than the pair ordered last year which were gorgeous and suitable for dressy occasions. I ordered in dark brown. The stitching is contrasting and orange. This was a surprise as this detail was not described nor visible online. My 10 year old will not want to wear them for this reason. My other complaint is that they are lightweight. Please bring back dress corduroys for boys! No comment on fit as I plan on just returning.

Rated 4 out of 5 by shinono very great twill pants, khaki is different
We got size 8 Khaki ,it's very excellent ,my son love this pants.
It looks thin straight (not skinny) if you wore.
BUT Be careful ,"Khaki" color is different from the picture.
So I put 4 stars for it. This pants has nothing problem, awesome.
Actual color is more Tan (more yellowish) .
Its just my opinion,Please check the color Khaki of "Kids' Trekking Pants". It closes more, I feel.
