The jacket is excellent but the zippers are hard to work.

I've used this coat for this year's grouse season with good success. I'm 5'11'' and 175lbs. I usually wear large in most jackets/shirts, but the regular length medium size in this coat fit just right. The fit is not sloppy and allows layering. I have good freedom of movement as well.
Windproof/waterproof properties have been spot on, and have kept me warm and dry on cold/wet days in the field. Unlike another reviewer, my coat has a double front zipper, but no pit zips, which I would like to see on this coat. They would allow better ventilation for early season use, but when it is warm I use my vest.
I find the 5 shell loops per pocket are ample for where I hunt, but this could be a problem for others who want more than 10 of their shotshells kept in loops. I'd also like to see the front zipper extend all the way up on the collar to allow better closure around the neck. I do like the soft-lined collar, however. It helps reduce chafing when it is not rolled down.
The coat has shown some wear with stitching being pulled loose in some areas and the nylon getting caught by thorns/multiflora rose. However, thus far I feel there has been a reasonable amount of wear considering how abrasive and nasty the grouse woods can be.

I've had this coat for 2 - 3 hunting seasons. It's performed as described. Excellent against briars and all kinds of weather. Multiple pockets for gear. This coat is durable, functional and comfortable. No issues whatsoever. Highly recommend.

Jacket doesn't breath enough. It needs a two way zipper and vents that can be opened under the arms. Shell pockets are partly sewn. They would be far better with two snaps on each pocket. I'd also favor snaps on the cuffs as the Velcro picks up "stuff" in the woods.
It's too bad because at this price the changes could be made without increasing the cost. I'm not the first person making these comments. It's a shame that Bean's doesn't listen.
