Rated 4 out of 5 by BCLi Timbuk2 - ideal combo camera/work bag
Always bringing a camera around with me, so have little camera cases to put in my briefcase for protection. I was getting tired of the misfitting of my gear and work stuff, and saw that there were camera inserts made that perfectly fit the T2 Mssgr Bag. I can now bring my folders, Macbook Pro (13 inch) and hard sided notebooks and fit my Ape QB39 and a water bottle without issue. I wish there was a pocket on the outside flap, but I suppose that ensures inside contents remain water protected for inclement weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kfred Excellent Bag for My Laptop
This bag is very spacious and carries everything I can think of. It's built strong and is light when I'm walking around. I'm very happy with this back and haven't seen anything else on the market like it. I have a 15" laptop and it fits perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LovesMountainHikes Great bag! - I got both sizes
I am planning a trip to NY with my son for HS grad this summer and wanted to bring messenger bags specifically for the theft deterrent aspect (safer than back pack or over the shoulder purse). But I could not decide between the small and medium size, so I got both (one for each of us). And actually they each have advantages. I like the small bag because it feels like a large purse but can still hold things like water bottle, sunglasses case, small camera, phone, umbrella, maps, wallet, umbrella (hope I won't need it) and jacket. The medium bag is really the size of a backpack, so is slightly awkward hanging at your side. However, if you need a place to put purchases or other extra stuff, it is great. And my son may use it in college since he can fit both a laptop and also 3-ring binders inside. I agree with other people's comments that the water bottle holder is a little small, but it still works. I like that the inside has a divider to keep papers/maps etc separate from the rest of the stuff. Lots of little zipped pockets are handy. My only complaint is that the extra strap that is supposed to be used to cinch the bag up more securely when you are biking or running is a little tricky to use. But overall I am very happy with this purchase.

This messenger bag is beautifully designed and crafted - easy to adjust the strap length... Lots of pluses!
The one thing that DOESN'T work is the water bottle holder inside the bag.... It's made to hold one of the smaller plastic water bottles that people would buy at a store before most people started buying and carrying their own. My re-use water bottles won't fit in the elastic holder!!
Luckily - the back pack that I use with the bag has a water bottle carry spot so I use that one.

I am soooo compulsive and meticulous with ALL my purchases that I annoy myself most of the times! I purchase a Traverse bag for my camera, which the Traverse was GREAT but, it was not waterproof, I was caught in a very bad rain storm and was so upset that my camera was going to get ruined, which it did get wet, but not destroyed. This is when I went on line to look for a waterproof messenger bag, I found the Timbuk 2, I purchased the small one but it was to small for the camera and all its accessories, I returned, purchased the large one. The red messenger bag is BEAUTIFUL. I was praying for rain! Great size for the camera, accessories and all the other items I placed in the bag. Great feel, not to heavy, material is great. The down fall, no pockets out side! That's why it waterproof! To get in and out of the bag is very convenient, it has to 2 Velcro that are great if you do not want to snap.

I've used the small "Confetti" bag for about 6-7 months now and I love it! I needed a messenger bag that could hold a tablet and whatever else I need for the day, and keep them safely dry. This bag is lined on the back and bottom too, not just on the flap. I also like the way the strap adjusts so easily, the water bottle organizers inside the bag, the sideways pocket you can quickly access without opening the flap (great for phones), the cinch straps that I sometimes use to stash a jacket (they could hold a yoga mat too, if you're into that). It has a simple, streamline look but has a lot of useful features. Timbuk2 makes solid bags. They've been at it for years and it shows. This bag is the result of a lot of customer feedback. Plus, they have bag-mending and bag-recycling programs.
I was considering this purchase for a while, until I saw that LLBean carried it. Jumped at the chance! Great bag + I get to shop at a company with amazing customer service!
