nice shirt, roomy and comfortable. But I wish all LLBean shirts for women had the same feature as men's, i.e. a button along the sleeve placket to keep it looking neat, especially when rolling up the sleeves. Also, the placket seems too long, in comparison with similar styles from other manufacturers..

Rated 3 out of 5 by OneDedicatedLLBeanShopper Easy Care Washed Oxford Original Fit - Sizing
I wear these oxfords everyday during the year except in the winter. My closet is full of them from years of purchasing this beautiful shirt. Last year's version did not feel the same and had a sheen to it, and this year's original fit is not original fit at all. I measured this shirt with previous versions and the new shirt measures THREE inches smaller across the chest. I also had to return another shirt because the collar button was sewn in the wrong place so the collar didn't lie flat. When you say the shirt is "original" it is not. Please do not continue to change what was a perfect "original" shirt.

Item was describe as being able to be worn from dryer. It looked like I slept in it when I took it out of dryer. I am returning the two I didn't open and I have to pay shipping for something that didn't hold up to how it was described.

Rated 1 out of 5 by femgineer Completely impractical, unusable shirt
I have a simple test for work shirts - I raise my arms, drop them, then swing them all the way forward and back, expecting the shirt to not do anything weird. This isn't too much to ask! But for this shirt it was.
The fabric of this shirt is waaaay too stiff. Combined with the bagginess of the shirt, lifting my arms up made it bag in an uncomfortable and unsightly manner. I've never seen anything like it and I wouldn't wear a shirt like that to work. Returned it immediately after trying it on.

My only complaint is that it is too long. I wish they offered petite lengths in plus sizes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JosieCat Not as expected, but...
I think L.L. Bean blouses/shirts are really over-priced, so I was happy to find this on sale (and I had coupons as well).
I bought a white one also, same fit. That said, I don't like the fit a whole lot, though I guess in fairness to them, it is pretty much as described. How I could not have noticed what it said about the fit before I bought this, I'm not sure. I normally read descriptions much more carefully. My mistake.
I don't like the shoulder seams being slightly off the shoulders. Why design something like that? It just looks like a mistake, like the shirt is too big and the wearer doesn't realize it. The sleeves are good in terms of length; and fortunately they have double cuff buttons. If it weren't for being able to use that second button, the cuffs would be WAY too big.
The body of the blouse is also too boxy to be really pleasing. Despite those issues, I'm going to keep this (and the white one, which doesn't have a button-down collar as this one does). I may regret it. If so, I'm still going to send it back.
However, there are no real alternatives: the two other "fits," which I would definitely prefer, don't come with long sleeves in this nice cotton, which I will assume does get softer with each wear, as Bean says it does. The more fitted shirts have "stretch," with non-cotton material added, which drives me nuts. Or they're 3/4-length sleeves, which I already have plenty of.
So all in all, I'm rather ambivalent about this purchase. I thought I'd like it a lot more than I do. We'll see what happens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by playoutsideVT Awesome shirt
I recently decided to upgrade my wardrobe and get some more professional pieces for work. I'm one of the youngest managers in my company so I wanted something that still fit my outdoorsy/new england style but looks grown up. This shirt is perfect. It's very comfortable, looks good, works well under sweaters etc.
I got a few of the relaxed and the fitted washed oxford. I like the fit of both but these relaxed fit are a bit looser and boxier (which means more comfortable too). I'm usually somewhere between a M and L in most clothes. The M fits perfectly in this shirt. I washed and dried the shirt and it still fits great (I didn't notice any shrinking).
I noticed that this shirt has buttons on the side of the collar and the fitted version of the washed oxford doesn't have buttons on the sides of the collar (it doesn't matter to me because I don't use them but if your looking for the buttons this one has them)

I guess I'm not very girly as I love the fit even when others have called it "boxy". The fabric is perfect as far as weight and quality and it came out of the drier beautifully. I am only 5'2" so finding clothing in petite sizes is always a plus. The only down side is I wish it came in more colors!

Like this shirt, but would LOVE it if the fabric was purchased from the same vendor as the Men's no-iron shirts. Men's are perfect when they come out of the dryer. Women's just can't compare!

Rated 5 out of 5 by DebraL I wish there were more!
I have bought many button down shirts from LLBean and the oxfords are my favorite. Im 5'2", 136 pounds and the medium petite shirt fit me perfectly. The crystal pink shade is lovely and the fabric and quality is much better than what I find in the mall stores.
