Rated 3 out of 5áby BWeaves Redesign?
Can we PLEASE get this redesigned so it's a functional raincoat? I don't know who decided that rain coats need to be above the knee, but they obviously have never been in the rain in Florida.
Can you please make this coat with the following features?
Ankle length. SERIOUSLY<- ANKLE LENGTH.
A-line with a big pleat down the back. You used to have one like this.
A vented back yoke so the mesh can breathe.
A hood that is attached so you don't have to deal with a collar. Really, a collar is not necessary.
Two way zipper and small snaps (like the current one has).
Inner elastic cuff so water doesn't run down your arm when you raise it to fix the hood over your eyes.
A hood that covers your face and stays up.
Who's with me on this?

Rated 5 out of 5áby M3Maine Great Rain Coat
I love this coat. It's long enough to cover my back. I like that it zips and snaps. The color is great, not just a boring dark blue. The material is light weight but durable. It's great for watching my kids soccer games, since they play rain or shine. I can wear extra layers underneath if I need them, so it is good for any season. I am so happy I purchased it!

So happy to see this updated style back with the standup collar. Additional improvements ...the hood stays put...no snapping & unsnapping ..and getting rid of those enormous color coordinated snaps that caught every scratch & mark...The sizes are true. I usually wear a medium in some bean things but love the large, since there is a draw string inside to cinch at the waist and possibly wear a sweater underneath when the weather turns chilly. Have several parkas in several different shades...but wanted something a bit longer.....a raincoat...Got mine in black. Love it!....Another great garment from llbean!

Rated 1 out of 5áby BWeaves ABOVE the Knee?
ABOVE the knee? Really? How is that supposed to keep me dry in a Florida torrential downpour? A good rain coat needs to end above the ankles, not mid thigh. I've been wanting to replace my old LL Bean raincoat for a few years, just because I've had it so long and it's gotten very old, but the latest ones are just horrible. Weird fabric, and too short.

I have been looking for a replacement for an LL Bean raincoat that I've had for years and loved, but which now has stains around the cuffs that can't be washed out. I ordered this raincoat but sent it back--the fabric is stiff and "plastic-like" and it seemed snug. I'm still looking for a replacement but given the negative reviews of the other LL Bean raincoat I'll have to look elsewhere.

I'm sorry to say that Bean's women raincoats are like cosmetics. Once you find the right one for you, they're changed or discontinued. Find a replacement - and yep - they do the same thing.
I've been searching for years now to get back to a Bean raincoat that I loved and wanted to reorder, but to no avail, as Bean has changed styles several times...not necessarily for the better per my tastes and requirements. I've ordered several Bean styles in an attempt to find something close. Found one and you guessed it - discontinued.
This is a nice coat - not like the ones that I'm trying to replace - but probably would have kept except for the break at the waist. I prefer straight lines. It's no doubt made for those style conscious ladies, but when I'm in the rain, I honestly don't care about anything other than staying dry.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Guene Perfect!
This is a beautiful raincoat - the quality of workmanship and materials I've come to expect from LL Bean. The navy is a very nice color. I like the length for the extra protection from the rain. The hood is adjustable, I leave it larger so it comes forward enough to protect my eyeglasses from the rain. The sleeves have an extra set of snaps so you can adjust the sleeve opening as well. I appreciate having the snap closures in addition to the zipper. The fabric with mesh lining makes it just the right weight for spring and fall weather. Perfect!

I am usually between a small and medium with LLBean. Previous reviews said this coat was a bit on the slim side, so I ordered the medium. I am 5'4'' - 122lb and it is a wonderful fit. Plenty of room to add layers for warmth or just cinch in the waist a bit in warmer weather. The fabric seems to be a very nice weight. Seems just heavy enough to be sturdy without being at all stiff or hard. It can fold up fairly small for travel.
This coat has all my requirements: a double zipper, a length to keep me dry (right above knees), snaps instead of velcro and a hood that stays on in the wind. Plus, back pleat gives style and all three pockets are nice size.
Got the dark khaki, figured it goes with anything. Will definitely enjoy it when dog needs to go out in pouring rain. Needed a coat with great coverage, since I find it difficult to carry dog leash, flashlight, dog-bags and an umbrella. Plus, lots of times it may be too windy for umbrella.
Thankyou LLBean. Am almost looking forward to the next walk in the rain!

Rated 2 out of 5áby Nicole1975 Coat too long and heavy
This coat is too long. It should be about 2-3 inches shorter.
And the fabric is too heavy. A raincoat needs to be something you can throw on easily and quickly.
On the positive side, I love the fact that this coat has a hood ... it's an essential feature for a raincoat.

Rated 4 out of 5áby BitaH Fitted, best over light layer
I have a number of the last 2 styles (2 button and plain backs) of H2Off raincoats in this length that I wear over business clothes such as tailored or boiled wool jackets over another top -- all in my usual size, Petite Large. Seeing the new Dark Khaki color in this new style, I ordered it in PL. Although I'm not thrilled, the coat does fit, and I can definitely use it BUT not over a midweight layer. Thus it would not be a cold weather raincoat, and the fitted style means pocket contents could look bulky. However, nothing will flap in the wind or gape at the neck. This is the 3rd skimpier than expected coat I've ordered in recent months (this year's 850 down coat and the soft, zippered hooded style). The product descriptions gave some hint, and I did keep and wear each but would have preferred a little more room without having to try a larger size that usually isn't quite right. I also ordered this year's long down coat (fur trimmed hood), and it is just right in PL. This new H2OFF raincoat has some good features but the fitted cut makes it not as versatile as previous styles.
