I actually haven't worn this jacket as it' been too cold. This jacket is lighter in weight than my other 850 from LLbean. It will be a perfect weight for cool, not cold weather, or under a rain coat.
The yellow color is true to it's picture...really nice!

Great color, nice fit but loose at neck and would prefer a bit longer. Preferred the packable version which was cheaper. A hood in the color would have been nice. Kept it because of color and feminine fit. So many items are loose and boxy.

I too am having problems with the zipper coming apart on its own.
Am disappointed in that, and hope that L.L. Bean fixes the problem! This jacket will be going back and trading for another like it, if the problem persists it will be going back for good.

The jacket was easy to wear, light and comfortable. But I will return it because the zipper would come apart at the bottom if it wasn't perfectly lined up. The zipper seems fragile. For the price, I'd expect it to be stronger.

Not warm at all. Inconsistent quality. First ordered the red which was not a true red. Red has always been a flattering color on me. This red was horrendous. The sleeves were long even though I ordered the petite size. However, the elastic on the cuff kept the sleeve up a repectable amount. Returned the red for a black one. Poor quality. Again, the sleeves were long and the elastic on the cuff way too wide. It seemed more suited to a man's wrist than a woman's. I had to sew a tuck into the cuff to keep the sleeve up. Description of a wind flap misleading. The wind flap is only at the collar. It does not run the length of the zipper. The existing flap is pretty much nonexistent because the collar opening is too wide and allows the cold air in. Been shopping LL Bean for many years. Quality seems to decline with each year. This jacket / sweater most disappointing so far.

This jacket weighs nothing - I thought the bag was empty when I received it! I wanted something I could take on trips that would take up little space in the suitcase. I think this jacket will be perfect. And it is warm - a good windbreaker and great to layer under a heavier jacket or over a sweater. Finally, it fits true to size and is quite fashionable, especially with the contrasting color on the zippers.

This down "sweater" is perfect for the coldest days in Southern California. It is so light you hardly realize you are wearing it.

I just got this sweater and I am already smitten with it. Been searching for a down sweater for one of the million layers that I wear when riding horses in sub zero temperatures. This down sweater is perfect. Warm but lighter than air and great for layering. It helped as a second layer today to keep me warm during a 13 degree, two hour horseback riding lesson. I WISH it was available in more colors as the yellow and red-orange really isn't my jam. If it came in, say, some blues or purples or a darker red, then I think I'd buy another one immediately!

Perfect for what I wanted...something light and warm that will easily go under outerwear. It has become my new cold weather "uniform". True to size.

Very nice, lightweight, warm jacket. Perfect for even wearing indoors. I wear this jacket during my job in the hospitals at night. The units tend to be very cold and it looks great even with dress clothes. It is much warmer than a regular sweater, but as light or lighter in weight. I ordered the red and it is just too orange looking for me...felt like I was some type of a warning sign wearing it! So, back it goes for the black. I am glad the black has the red trim though, as this at least makes the jacket unique.
