I now have three of these shirt-jackets which go with anything, all year long. I could easily be tempted to purchase a 4th if it is made available in black. I had to exchange the print jacket because it was a bit smaller than the regular jacket. It does need ironing.

LADIES grab this while you can. This is a winner for LLBean. Wow. Great addition to a wardrobe as a fun, cute, pull-it-together item. I'm 5'4 and 120 lbs. and the XS fit great. I bought the white and I love it. Instantly. I love lots of pockets and a cinch waist. Throw this on with a pair of nice trouser jeans and sandals and voila - outfit for many occasions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anglophile Great as a Blazer
This jacket is a soft, lightweight twill--the perfect weight to wear as a spring or summer blazer. I have it in light blue and stone, and have worn them to work often for over a year. I pin the stand collar back to create lapels. I'm 5'2", 129 lbs. and I wear the Petite Small over a t-shirt. Jackets wash well, look great right out of the dryer, and have great pockets for all my work stuff. I'm getting a third one in white right now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LieutenantShopper perfect for SW Florida
Although many reviews say the fabric is thin, for Florida it is perfect.
I bought the lilac colour, it is nicely tailored, the style better than what the local shops are offering. For cool mornings on what will be a hot day, perfect!

Rated 3 out of 5 by BlacksburgGSD Roomy jacket
For reference, I am 105-110 lbs, 5'4". I ordered the jacket in an XS. The jacket shoulders fit well. The sleeves are very roomy, enough so that I could definitely fit a thin or thick winter/fall sweater underneath. I have an athletic build and lack a chest, so the jacket feels a bit 'empty' in the front. I had to pull the taps around the waist tighter, which made them hang down more than on the model. That part is annoying, so I am snip and glue them to be shorter. The sleeves are also very long, but I keep them snapped and roll them up once and it works. I am wash and dryer-dry them to see if it shrinks a bit. Otherwise, probably will also wear a sweater underneath.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SnoopyFanHatesMalls Great for Spring
I didn't want another coat, so I was glad to read reviews stating this was lightweight. I'm 5'2" and 120 lb but have broad shoulders and most petite items are too short-waisted. So I tried a misses small and misses med. I kept the misses med because the small pulled across the back. I ordered heritage stone, so I KNOW it will see the wash/dry cycle often and the med will allow for shrinkage. I may try to add a snap to tighten the cuffs. The current snap is useless in its current location and does nothing to tighten the cuff. I think the cuff is the same width as the sleeve.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AlmostLisa Great lightweight jacket
I was looking for something very lightweight with pockets, and this is just perfect. It is a twill material like a twill shirt, and both zips and buttons up. It is perfect for those mid 50s and 60s degree days when you just want something light and breathable, but a fleece jacket or sweatshirt is too heavy. The only thing I don't like about it is that you can't stick your hands in the pockets from the sides; they only open at the top.

Although this is similar to the Luna jacket, which I have and love, I found it to be lacking. The zipper is very flimsy, and it can't be unzipped from the bottom to give more room for sitting. Also, unlike the Luna jacket, there is no cuff adjustment. There is only one snap, and the cuffs were very wide and fell over my hands. The jacket was cute on, and I love the stone color, but who wants a jacket you can only wear with the sleeves rolled up? Sadly, this was one of my few L.L. Bean purchases that went back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Countrydogwalker Field Jacket
This jacket looks nice on but the sleeves are too tight to accommodate a sweater underneath. The jacket fits like tailored blazer rather than a field jacket. If you only plan to wear a thin shirt or T-shirt it's okay but if you really want a jacket you can layer, or roomy pockets this is not the jacket you want. Another problem, the zipper is cheap and won't hold up to long wear.

Rated 2 out of 5 by RaptorLover Not Really A Field Jacket
I liked the way this jacket looked online, before I bought it. It was $89, & the color I liked was only $59. However, when I got it, I was sorely disappointed. This can hardly be called a "field jacket." It is not any more than a shirt with field jacket pockets on it. The fit was fine, & I did like that it had a little stretch in it. But I wanted something to wear for the start of autumn. This might be good for those summer evenings when you just need to cut the breezes; but it is definitely not going to be warm enough for even early autumn. And it is surely overpriced for what it is, even at the sale price. Sadly, I have to return it. Back to the drawing board *sigh*.
