Rated 3 out of 5 by Marbar Great Lightweight Jacket w/ Sizing Issues
I ordered this jacket in a plus size, 1X. It fit except the waist was high with the gathered waist just under my breasts. Not a good look for me. The mallard is a beautiful color. Too bad.

This is the second Freeport Field jacket I've purchased - which means I love them! A great length and style for me

Rated 5 out of 5 by SavvySkier Cute and sporty
I was looking for a light spring jacket when I purchased this one. It's definitely lightweight (similar to wearing a light cardigan), but well-made and very cute. I particularly like that you can wear the collar up or down and that you can cinch the waist for a nicer silouette.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KfromCLE True to size and so comfortable!
Though I'm usually a LLBean small, I ordered the M based on the reviews. I had to return it and got the small. The small fits perfectly and the material is stretchy so I have plenty of space through my shoulders where most other jackets are tight. The petite arm length is perfect.
The jacket is lightweight, but also well insulated. It's still cold here in Cleveland, so I haven't gotten to test it much. It seems heavy enough for temps over 40 degrees. This will probably join my other LLBean items as a wardrobe staple!

Rated 3 out of 5 by LuvsBubbly Skimpy cut, fabric too thin, color not right
I ordered this in a Petite-Large, in the Deep Olive color, hoping it would match, or at least not clash with, a pair of greenish-khaki pants I have. The color not only clashes, it is not what I'd call "olive" at all, & certainly doesn't qualify as "deep"! It is a sort of grayed moss-green, definitely more green than olive color.
The fabric is a soft twill, perhaps suitable for a field shirt, shorts or summer-weight trouser material, but it's too lightweight for a jacket. It arrived extremely wrinkled.
For a Large, the sleeves are barely long enough, & I am a small, short person (just over 5'2"). The length of the jacket is also barely sufficient. It does fit in the shoulders & chest, but with little room to spare.
Although it has metal teeth, the zipper itself--the business part of it that fits the 2 sides of the jacket front together, & the pull--are very tiny & delicate. Fittings like this should be sturdy & substantial, so as to be easily located & grasped when you're trying to put on the jacket. These are inadequate & give the impression of cheapness.
I will be returning this. Too bad, I had thought it would be just the thing to take with me on a late spring trip. I don't know what's happened with LLBean quality, it seems to have definitely gone south.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hikemaster Island Coral Spring Jacket
This is a great item to teach in. The fabric is lightweight and stretchy so I can move to write on the board. The sleeves roll up and the coral polka dots underneath the cuffs on the matching floral Easy Care Stretch Poplin shirt look so cute rolled over it, too. I love how the colors are exactly the same and look so coordinating. The jacket has a slimming fabric and lots of little zippered pockets and a drawstring. I am glad the sleeves roll up easily not just to display the contrast dot cuffs on the poplin shirt but also because then my hand gets black smudges on it from the dry erase marker and not the jacket. I have found I have to be careful because the fabric is such a pretty light color, but that also shows dirt easily, but it is worth it to keep attention at the front of the classroom. This item also needs to be ironed. I already washed and ironed it several times. The fabric irons easily since it is lightweight. Perfect spring jacket for fashion purposes. Does not work for working with cows. I came home and did a few things in the barn the first day I had this and then had to scrub out spots.

Rated 3 out of 5 by shoewoman Disappointed
I needed a light spring jacket & loved the look of this. Unfortunately the sleeves were too tight with just a t-shirt. With all of the pockets found on this jacket I was disappointed there were no side slash pockets for hands. I had to return as the the sleeves being so tight. The jacket material is VERY thin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by llbeanershopaholic Over priced for what it is
Beautiful 'jacket', I love the cut. Ordered the coral and it fits nicely. I am a size 12, rather busty and 5'6". Ordered the medium and it just fits-I better not gain a pound. I can wear a shirt, but not sweater under it. The zipper feels kind of cheap and small, and for the price that I paid for this 'jacket', you'd think there would be a liner of some sort-seriously! That's why I gave it 4 star rather than 5. I love the length of the sleeves, just right.

I was in the store to make a return when I saw this jacket. It seemed perfect for in-between seasons. The coral looked great, but I was being conservative and boring and went with the khaki (!) The small fit perfect, which is usually my size. On my way out of the store i saw another color (mallard) in same jacket ON SALE for twenty dollars less, and decided to purchase that one instead, as I think the khaki really was too boring anyway, plus the blue will look great with jeans. Very happy with my purchase
