Rated 5 out of 5 by gigi2006 I've gotten lots of mileage
I bought 3 of these shirts in the spring and have gotten hours of wear out of them. I'm 5 ft so the length is perfect, The colors green, red and light blue striped go with jeans or kahkis or the LL Bean sun washed canvas pants. The cotton is substantial and stands up to many washings. I like them because they are not the usual tee shirt styling. They are for casual times but are more interesting than a plain tee.
If they are offered next spring I'll probably get another color.

I like the shorter 'look' - - something a little 'different'. Note: it tends to run large. I ordered 'L'....'Large' usually fits fine. However, even after washing, the shoulder-seams hang-off my shoulders.

This review is for the solid version of Saturday Henley. I liked the styling, but unfortunately it didn't work for me. I have a striped short sleeve Saturday Tee, but it seems to me that this solid Henley wasn't the same quality of knit fabric. It felt thinner but as I returned this item, I am unable to comment on how it felt or looked after washing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Grannynana Shorter after washing but still comfortable length
I have bought 2 of these shirts in solid colors, white and yellow, and ordered two other colors today. It is by far one of my most comfortable shirts. It does shrink up and the fabric is not exactly wrinkle free. New, out of the bag, it's way to big and after washing the length and sleeves are as described. The shorter length covers my tummy and skims my muffin top nicely. The fabric looses it smooth appearance but still fine to wear out of the dryer, for casual wear. The neck band stays flat and I think its a flattering look. I'm 5'6", wt 150 and wear a medium. I have an older version of this shirt that I bought 5 years ago and still wear. Love Bean!

Here we have a shirt with a conflicted personality. Above, a neat and nicely tailored henley. Below, a repressed floozy yearning to become a crop top. The fullness of the body is an inner couch potato.
This is almost a great casual tee. The neckline is well designed with a wide band all around so it looks dressier. But the tee's so short, almost unwearable.
The fullness is fine for the "weekend" feel, but looks balloonish with the chopped-off hem. Just add 5 inches to the length and all will be well.
Now, the colors, white is the only one I can wear. The soft blue and yellow are very pretty, but not for my coloring.
That cardinal red is hideous, with too much orange in it. All LLB's reds (except for the men's section) have been outrageously weird for a year. That shamrock green cannot flatter any complexion over age 30.
Offer this shirt in 10 colors, why so few? And colors according to what women wear and what will coordinate. Brights are OK, but LLB consistently makes them TOO bright or intense. These colors are an ongoing problem. Not sure who is designing but it's almost an LLBean trademark, weird colors.
The stripes are OK, a subtle - if somewhat masculine - affect. But can LLB do any pattern besides stripes and plaids? Some of us do not need horizontal lines adding 10 pounds to our appearance.
It would be better to fix the length, make the sleeves FULL length while you're at it (it is a "weekend" shirt), keep the high quality neck and construction, and sell it in only white, if that's what it takes to make it right. IMHO.

Purchased this item in a medium. I loved it when I wore it however, after washing, it became a crop top. I washed it in cold water followed by a tumble dry. I will be sending it back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Candyfloss Perfect for Petites
As others have already observed, this style is perfect for the shorter woman who wants to wear a t-shirt rather than a tunic! The fabric is ultra-soft and the fact that it falls to the waist is the reason I'm ordering three more to add to my original two! The sleeve length suits me down to the ground ... so all in all I'm delighted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JJNH Very comfortable, right fit
Even though not a petite length, this shirt is just right for me. I love the fabric, the style and the fit. Have it in three different colors. I purchased size Medium (I am 5"3", 138 lb). Very comfortable and certainly a gift for petite women. There are a lot of tops offered for taller women, but, the selection for petites is much smaller. L.L.Bean, please, keep making these shirts!

Loved the look and feel of shirt, but it was just too short. I am 5'3 and normally wear a petite, but petites not offered in this style. Ordered anyway based on the reviews that it ran short. Boy does it - When I tried it on, the front rested right in the middle of stomach. Sent back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Ivannds Strange Fitting Shirt
I bought the yellow stripe which was on backorder and I was very excited when it finally arrived. It was a very pretty color and the fabric, although thin, was very soft and seemed nice. Unfortunately, it was downhill from there. First, I thought it was supposed to be 3/4 length sleeves because the picture of the model wearing the yellow one has the sleeves pushed up - my mistake. Then the fit was just strange. Very boxy and, once again, referring back to the model it doesn't look like she's wearing a relaxed fit shirt as it looks more fitted than the one I tried on. I don't think relaxed fit has to mean boxy, it could still have some shape to it. I'm 5'3" and felt the length was a little short , especially because I figured it would shrink a bit. The sleeves were too long and went down to the knuckles on my hand, I don't think my arms are particularly short. I really wanted to like this shirt. I tried it on multiple times hoping I was imaging the bad fit but finally decided to return it.
