Rated 4 out of 5 by Jed4 Thicker than I thought
This is a very nice sweater - soft, warm and long enough for a moderately tall person. However, it is a lot thicker than I thought - definitely more of a winter sweater, despite the summery colors.

Rated 1 out of 5 by rappunzell Very clingy - in all the wrong places
This sweater is too thick, clingy, and long. The way it hangs on me, it conceals my chest, and enlarges my hips and buttocks. Very unflattering!
I've been very dissatisfied with LLB fit on many items. They have a tendency to make armholes much too big, sleeves too short (instead of a two-button adjustable cuff with a longer sleeve) and a shapeless body. Too bad since I like many of the fabrics and colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by suester Great Sweater
I like everything about this sweater. Great shape, fit and quality. Lightweight. I am 5'4" and ordered petite and it is long enough to cover to mid hip. It is my go to top. I am going to order another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by eibbed0615 I just orded my second Marled Cotton Sweater
This sweater fits nicely and the weight of the weave is heavy enough to cover some of those less desirable curves without a cardigan as a cover up. It washes up very nicely, held its shape and did not become shorter after several times thru the washer & dryer. This is a sweater I look forward to wearing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tovah warm and wonderful - happy clothes
I look forward to coming home to this sweater every night and putting it on. It is just the right length for me (5'8") - I love the color (ocean) - and I especially love how warm it is. It is perfect for MN winter nights. I am buying another one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by neurosurgerytech I Really Should Have Believed the Other Reviewers!
I should have taken the other reviewers at their word -- this sweater really IS too long . . . freakishly long, to the point of being unflattering. I don't mind a longer sweater (say in a cardigan) but with this pull-over style, it just comes off as being frumpy. It goes about two inches past the caboose, so if you've got a generous one like me, it is just going to maximize it all the more. Not a good look.
The colors are lovely, the weight of the sweater is perfect, and I like the texture created by the variations in the knitting. If this sweater could have stopped at mid hip instead of going on to look like a mini-dress, it would have been a winner. Sadly, it is going back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by PunSpec Nice heavy sweater, but fit did not suit my frame
I liked the thickness and color of the sweater but it was a very unflattering fit; it hung like a tent. It fit well through the shoulders and sleeve length. It was nice to see the longer length but it was way too wide at the hips.

I love LL bean sweaters, have quite a number of them-last for years! Tried the new marled cotton, first in the coral in a medium. Sleeves too long and body way too long, so ordered it in petite medium, but in Aqua Sea. LOVE the aqua sea color, sleeves were proper length, but sweater was too long-and being a little more fitted, added "junk to my trunk", so not flattering. If it was either slightly less fitted, or about 2" shorter, would have been perfect. I hope they either change the fit, or make differently fitting sweaters in Aqua Sea color. Material feels wonderful, wish it would have fit better on me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by NHGlove Great Fit but most colors are too bright!
I have always loved tunic tops because I have a very long torso. In the old days, before some meds and a medical condition caused me to gain weight, I wore a M or a L because I've always had large breasts. Now, I'm between Misses XL and a 1X. I took a chance on these and ordered the XL and it was perfect. I absolutely love the styling!
It's my kind of sweater - cotton, soft, not too hot, accommodates a necklace, a scarf or can be worn just plain. The V is not too deep. As far as the styling goes, I couldn't be any happier. It doesn't look like a maternity top and is long enough to cover all that I want to cover. Even if I were my normal size, I would have loved it. It would be great if Bean would offer more sweaters and jerseys in a similar style and length.
Now to the colors. In that I love blue, I ordered the Indigo Blue which is just beautiful. Additionally, I ordered the Island Coral and the Aqua Sea. The latter is a bright mint green. I don't think it comes close to being aqua. And the Island Coral is simply light orange. I don't like green or orange.
The Wisteria Blue is a lovely blue and I actually ordered a second Indigo because I don't know if Bean will keep this style in stock. I also have a Stone on order. I wish the colors were truer to their names, as the blues were.
As for the fit, they look great with my black or navy essential knit pants and as I slowly lose weight, hopefully I can wear my jeans again and they'll match them.
Way to go, LL Bean!

Rated 1 out of 5 by bostonjj Way way too long
I ordered the non-striped version - when I try to leave a review for that one, it bounces me to the striped version, but in any event, this sweater was a big disappointment. I only order "Petite" sweaters from LL Bean, and I am always pleased when I see a nice one. But this one is way, way too long. I don't want a heavy sweater that cups my posterior. It was the least flattering item I've tried on in a long time. I got the pale blue marl. The color was nice, the texture was fine (matches my cardigans in the same line), but the sizing was impossible for me. I'm 5'5" and petite was too long.
