This shirt is absolutely adorable and fits nicely. I have been an LL Bean satisfied customer for years and years. Although I like the look of linen overall, I do NOT like the requirements to care for it. I was drawn to this one because of my LL Bean history and the tagline of Premium Washable Linen. It was my mistake I guess but I thought I could wash and wear this tunic top. I expected it to be soft and casual - not crisp like the linen I take to the cleaners. I washed this in cold water gentle when it first arrived and put it in the dryer on delicate low heat. It came out a horrible wrinkled mess. I guess I wish I had worn it out of the package at least once before I returned it but it had fold lines that I needed to wash out of it. If you don't care that you have to iron this shirt ALOT, then it is terrific. Beings I plan on this for casual wear, I don't want to have to send it to the dry cleaners to be presentable. I'm sorry to have to return it.

I order the shirt in cirrus blue. It is much darker than I expected and does not look good with my lighter skin color. The shirt runs large in length. I have long arms to begin with and I would still need to take about an inch off the sleeve length. The overall length of the shirt is too long and looks awkward. Yes I could fix all of this, but since the color doesn't work for me, I am sending it back.

I love the way this tunic fits. It is very slimming, unlike some tunics. Length is good at hip. I normally take a small regular but bought a small petite and it fits perfectly. I have the white and just ordered the opal blue because I love it so much.

Just received my Linen Tunic and it is so nice, so very nice. I am glad I went with the petite, although I am 5'4" I didn't want it to long. it is perfect. I am very happy with my purchase and have been looking to buy another one. I just can't decide which colour. I would highly recommend this shirt. It is casual yet has a flair which makes it dressy as well. I can hardly wait to wear it.
Time to order another one.

I know this is cotton linen and tends to be easily wrinkled....but I was unable to iron the creases from it and after wearing and washing it, the wrinkles will never come out of it. I don't want to spend all my time ironing this shirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Emmy42 No problems - great shirt!
I was concerned because of the review about the neckline, but I just got mine and it's fine. I have a chubby face, too, but have always liked a band collar, and this one is perfect.
I am grateful for the review that pointed out that "blue opal" is really an aqua. From the photo I was concerned that it might have been a washed-out blue; I was looking for aqua, and the color is just what I wanted.
So beware if you're expecting a pale blue... but if you want aqua, the blue opal is beautiful!

This is such a beautiful shirt. I purchased the paisley in blue & tan. The colors are much nicer in person than online. The blue is a wonderful periwinkle/violet & the tan is a delicate & soft color both against the cleanest brightest white. The fabric is a light linen & looks so crisp & neat. Nice tunic length. These are truely summer shirts & I will get a lot of wear out of them.

I am returning this shirt, I'm quite disappointed. I'm chubby with a round face and double chin. The high neckline and banded collar constantly hit my neck, cheek and chin in the most annoying way.
Linen is for hot weather, it makes no sense to make a linen shirt with a very high neckline like this.
The shirt would have been much better had the neck been cut with a gentle V-shape, with or without a neckband. Also making the sleeves 3/4 length would be better for hot weather. Had I kept the shirt, I would have shortened the sleeves and re-hemmed them.
The banded neckline is styled too high for hot weather even when left unbuttoned. It is annoying from the moment I put it on, so I must send it back.
The fabric is comfortable, and good quality, the style is nice except for the uncomfortable neckline.
LL Bean needs to go back to the drawing board and lower the neckline and shorten the sleeves to 3/4 length and then I'd likely buy more than one of these shirts.

Really nice tunic providing coverage and comfort. Very soft and not a bit scratchy! Could be worn open as a jacket with a tank. Opal Blue is more like Aqua which is why I had to return for a different color.

I have tried to have this tunic for years, I love the style, fabric, colors and fit, but the neckline is impossible. Buttoned leaves it too high for the season and open it keeps flapping at the neck. It is worse when sitting at work, I found myself constantly folding it under. I was thrilled to see the subtle V on the sleeveless linen-please, please make this tunic with that version of neckline.
