Based on some of the reviews I was somewhat skeptical of ordering this bathing suit, but I must say I have been pleasantly surprised. I normally wear an 8, but ordered a 10 and it fits just perfect. I also ordered the long stride and I really think that helps with the fit. Color is just like the picture and the fabric is good quality. Thanks LLBean!

The Jewell Island Tank is a great swimsuit and has proved its worth during my weekly water aerobic classes. Good fit (for me). The only thing I would change is to eliminate the elastic band in the back. Double fabric with elastic at the back is really not needed. Otherwise a perfect suit!

What a comfortable, beautiful bathing suit! I'm tall, 5'8", but this suit fits perfectly without pulling or pressure from the shoulder straps. The fabric is so comfortable and the color and fabric gorgeous. Very flattering. This is the second bathing suit I've ordered from L.L. Bean. I had my last one for years and it was time for a new one. Very, very pleased and can't wait for summer!

Rated 3 out of 5 by banditgirl matronly style
I returned this suit--thought it would look more 'modern' than the sport tank but was very matronly on. Also--be wary, it does run slim--I ordered a 10L and it was very narrow on my narrow frame. This is not a suit for a curvy or pear shaped figure. I will go back to the LLBean sport tank--looks more youthful--and a good basic suit.

The suit fits very well and a great plus is that it is chlorine-resistant, which many suits are not. I am 68 yrs old, 5'10" tall, 188 pounds, 36D bra and normally wear a size 14/16. After reading other reviews, I decided to get an 18 regular. The length is good, covering my bottom. It has reasonable leg openings (not too high). It is modest at the top and comes up high enough in back so that there is no "back boobs" effect. The adjustable straps help support "the girls" and there is enough of a bra inside to keep them front and center. I am glad I ordered two of them, because I will be swimming almost every day during the long, hot California summers.

Good quality, well-made, but hard to pull up. If you have a fleshy back, it's not for you. It wasn't for me. It pushes the flab up and looks pretty bad back there. That's a shame because the style and fabric are great. I just wish the back was u-shaped.

I just got this in the mail and wow! what a great suit!!! I am 60 years old and almost passed it up because I didn't know what size to order. So here are measurements to help others. I am 5'8" 125 lbs , 32DD bra, around 35-26-36 and ordered the 10 long. It fits perfectly and makes me look as "okay" as you can look at age 60. Without the reviews, I would have ordered a 4 or a 6 and this would have been very off. When everyone said it ran small I considered an 8 but am so glad I went with the 10. love it

I am a size 10 long and love the fit. A swimsuit is all about the fit. I think I will enjoy swimming, running, bending over (!) - without any self-conscious adjustments! Great freedom for being at the beach.

This suit is great. I purchased this in Caribbean Blue, a gorgeous color. I read all the reviews to try to figure out my size, and it worked. Size 14 fits just right. I am a , 5 foot , apple shaped, approx. 140 lb 66 year old. It is a snug fit, sort of like a Spanx. The high back covers any rolls, the rusching helps "tame" the belly :~) and the leg opening fits well, no gaps, not to high.
