Rated 5 out of 5 by melneps oh so flattering!
I love this dress, everything about it.
the cut of it is perfect, at least for my body (I'm 5'4" & a little curvier than the model pictured). The solid dark ivy color is very nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Clementine4 Perfect dress!
This dress is totally amazing! The fabric is soft, the style is the most flattering I've found in a very long time, and the length is perfect. I can dress this up with pearls and heals...or throw on a floppy hat and flip flops. I can't tell you how perfect this dress is. It's totally worth every penny. Love.

Rated 2 out of 5 by bluecupcake I wanted to like it but....
Like other reviewers have said, this dress has a lot going for it but the fit is rather strange. Personally I like the pattern of the dress and the material is stretchy but still substantial enough to not be considered 'cheap'. The cut is modest enough for my tastes without really being 'matronly'. However the fit is odd- it seems like it just didn't want to lay properly- especially if you have a bigger bust like mine. I just knew I would be re-adjusting it all day long. Back it goes. :(

I really wanted this dress to work for me. I love the color, the fabric, and the design of the dress from the waist up. From there it goes downhill for me. I ordered a small, my normal size at llbean. I'm 5'5", fairly fit and 115 (ish) and the elastic waistband gave me a reverse muffin. The fit is simply awkward on me - no other way to explain it. My teenage daughter gave me one of those faces that said - no, not flattering. The elastic waist fell mid ribcage on me, but I am short waisted. The length fell just below my knee. I'll be searching for an alternate dress on the website to exchange this one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Visityourlibrary Waist unflattering for hippy/buxom women
I should have believed the reviewers who said that the waist is too high. Turns out the color ember means orange; I thought it looked rosey in the picture.

I ordered this dress in solid black.
I am 5'3" and this dress in regular sizing (not petite) was still too high-waisted. It has been reluctantly returned.

The fabric is wonderful -- thick -- and the cut is flattering around the waist. It's a nice style that's neither frumpy nor too trendy. However, in an XS, the back of the neck/collar drapes HORRIBLY. The entire row of fabric sticks out and bunches. So, without broad shoulders, one can't keep the dress looking slim and flattering. It's annoying because everything else about the dress is great. But for me, constantly fixing my bra straps and flattening the back is a big no.

I adore this dress. I initially bought this dress in black. I tried it on in the store and I loved the fit. The fit is very flattering on my frame while being appropriately modest for my age. The fabric is wonderful. Other reviewers have mentioned an issue with the fabric clinging- but if you wear a proper slip, this dress drapes beautifully. The mid weight of the fabric makes this dress work for cool summer evenings as well as chilly winter days if paired with tights and a cardigan. The neckline on this dress looks great with a nice scarf and cardigan. I like this dress so much, that I just placed an order for it in the Dark Ivy... and I'm thinking I might just go ahead and get it in Wisteria to wear in the spring!

I very badly wanted this dress in its two original patterns, Navy and Cobalt, but managed to miss out on them both. So I snapped up this Wisteria Blue one as soon as possible.
This dress has a graceful style and flow with a beautiful pleated bodice which enhances my figure. At 5 feet short, the PXS falls just below my kneecaps. That's good because you need a variety of lengths. And it might tighten up when laundered inside out, cold water, delicate cycle. Since it's 95% rayon, the rest spandex, the first time I launder it I'm going to hang it to dry, since it's usually the dryer that ruins things.
On the Blue background are three shades of Purple: Dusty Dark, Dusty Medium, and Light. There are Creamy patches here and there. Lastly, for some reason there are dark olive green splotches which just don't go with the 4 blue/purple hues that give the impression of Wisteria Blue, as it's called.
Frankly they look like Camo Fatigues, and at first I was not amused. So I was feeling camo-fatigued when I found your new cotton twill, fleece-lined, camo print Freeport Field Jacket, inexplicably under Blazers. (291649REG, 291652PET.)
Hmmm, kinda cute.... An idea began to form, so I clicked on Bean's Boots (made in Maine). Ooooh, all those colors: Raven Blue, Navy Blue, Dark Cranberry, Black, Brown, White, Black Buffalo Check, Apple Cinnamon Waxed Canvas, and combos thereof, even a Fuschia/Navy; 6", 7", 8", 10",16", 14 eyelets; Shearling-lined, Goretex, Thinsulate, Special Edition, - my mind went from dizzy to tizzy to busy.
This dress, that jacket, those Cranberry boots that go up to THERE - THIS would be my costume for those upcoming Halloween events. Need you ask: I'm going as A Crazed LL Bean Customer! Maybe I'll even win first prize.
Yes you can borrow my idea, but if you live east of the Rockies, please add long underwear.
