I bought three of these linen shirts for my trip to Costa Rica. They kept me cool yet were dressy enough to wear to work. The darts in back give the shirt a nice shape and the ż sleeves are just the right length. I bought three shirts in aqua, lavendar and white. As other customers have mentioned, the white shirts are not see-through. I would have liked one of these shirts in black. Also, it would be great if they had matching cropped pants.

I have this shirt in white, coral, clearwater blue, and lemon. I love the fit of this shirt. I also got the unshrinkable layering tanks to match just in case I wanted to wear them with the shirts. This shirt is cool on hot days. I would love for it to be a little longer, but not tunic length. I would recommend it for about 3 seasons: spring, summer, fall. I love LLBean linen.

I bought some of these last year. I LOVE the shirt. It irons very well and looks fine if you are in a hurry and don't want to bother. I'm buying three more now.

I guess you get the message but I will give some details. I am 5'3", 125 #. I ordered blue in small and pink in medium just to check the size. Ended up keeping both. They both fit, probably the medium will be better after washing and wearing many times (if they shrink- not sure if they will). As for the ironing, yes, I do iron them, but I think for some casual activities you wouldn't have to. Even with the ironing, I want to wear them every day. They keep me pretty comfortable even when it is very hot. Wish I could have more colors.

Rated 2 out of 5áby MrsRX oh yeah, I just LOVE to iron iron iron.
'washable' is a bit of a misnomer. I can't take these from the dryer - nor the clothesline - without a LOT of ironing, something I just don't have time for, especially in the summer. Lovely shirts, if you don't mind the work involved.

Rated 5 out of 5áby DianeE Perfect Shirt-my all-time favorite linen shirt!!!
I have 22 of these shirts. They are beautifully finished with color matched buttons, stitching usually found on more expensive shirts and can be dressed up/down or worn open with a tank/cami. The 3/4 sleeve is so comfortable. Please make some jewel tones like royal blue or raspberry and some vivid, strong colors. The pastels are nice, but more vivid colors would be great. These shirts work well for any figure type. They are semi-fitted, so they are flattering, but they don't cling at all. They wash really well and iron easily and quickly. I live in a warm climate and wear them constantly. For colder climates, they work well for spring, summer and early fall.

Rated 2 out of 5áby BeebeMaryland Disappointed, poor design details
I ordered the blue floral version of this shirt (as well as two solid colored ones) because I love the design of the floral fabric. As others have noted, the fabric is semitransparent, but I can live with that design detail. The first poor design detail is that the sleeves have buttoned cuffs. I didn't notice this when I ordered the shirt but that would have stopped me from ordering it; I don't need buttoned cuffs on a three-quarter length sleeve. And as it turns out, I find that the sleeve cuffs are disproportionately small for the size (and I don't have particularly big forearms). If the cuffs didn't have a button, I'd be unable to wear the shirt at all. The unbuttoned cuff doesn't look very dressy. The second poor design detail is that the bottom button on the front is about one inch too close to the button of the shirt; this spacing looks odd to me for a shirt intended to be worn untucked. I will keep the floral shirt for casual wear, possibly over a cami, but will return the other two shirts. I will have to purchase my linen shirts elsewhere.

LLB has impressed me with the colors and design of this shirt. Often I applaud the quality and construction of LLB clothing, but almost never do I consider anything fashionable or cute. This definitely is a feminine, stylish blouse to wear anywhere in the summer.
Floral print is soft and a bit artistic-looking. Actually it's a two-tone pattern on white - coral and muted pink/red, darker than pastel but still light. A floral that is not fussy! Very pretty is all I can say, I love this look.
The fit and cut are easy, as suits linen, but not overly loose. Full, good-looking collar and cuffs - no skimping on them nor on buttons. 3/4 sleeves are truly 3/4 (not barely below elbow) which looks more streamlined with longish length.
I am borderline XL - 1X, and I got the 1X. I have room in it but not excessive. Being a larger lady, I fear wearing anything but plain dark tones. However, this pattern is not so bold to add "visual" pounds and the length is not so short as some LLB shirts.

Very pretty, and the flag blue is a gorgeous color. As I often find with LLBean clothes, it's a little big through the shoulders, but too closely-fitted in the bust to go down a size. I have broad shoulders, too, so this always surprises me. However, with this shirt, it's fine -- the extra room in the shoulders gives them a nice, slightly dropped look.
The flag blue coordinates nicely with the blue print washable linen skirt, by the way, so will make an outfit with the shirt unbuttoned like a jacket over a white tee. Before I ordered, I had a very funny conversation about this with a nice guy in customer service who tried his best to be helpful, but had no idea if the blues in the two garments would coordinate. Is it sexist of me to think that a woman would probably have known? In any event, they do go together, so all is well!
