I agree with others that the seams are a little scratchy but it didn't bother me and I now have two.

I kept this top (was on sale) but would not buy another one. The sleeves are too short to use the thumb holes like others have said. There is no stretch to the fabric so I cannot push up the sleeves if needed - that is annoying. It is not what I would consider warm but works under a heavier layer.

I really like this shirt. I don't find the seams to be scratchy at all (mentioned in a previous review.) It has a nice fit too. Great quality. Expect this to be part of my wardrobe for a while...

Rated 5 out of 5 by critterfarm Please make this in more colors, Best shirt EVER!
I ordered this shirt for archery/biking/hiking/kayaking, I wear it ALL THE TIME, including to work and out on the town. I ordered another one. I would love to have more! It has a silky and lightweight fabric-- very flattering over leggings, skorts, shorts, jeans, and even nice pants. I throw it in the washer & dryer, and it never wrinkles--even if it's been in the basket or in my suitcase for a few days. Seriously, I would wear these shirts EVERY DAY, if I owned more of them!

This is the first shirt like this I have purchased from L.L. Bean. I love the feel of the fabric and the fit. I am going to order more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by threadsmith Love this shirt!
This shirt has received some not so good reviews but I love mine. I have not purchased this shirt previously so I don't know what it used to be like but I think the current model is perfect for my needs, light enough for the gym but warm enough for hiking in cooler weather and smart enough to wear shopping after my workout

This is certainly not close to the BeanSport 1/4 zip tee I purchased in 2012. I would have bought more at that time if I had known LLBean would change it so much. Material is not nearly as soft, fit seems off (too large in lower body), exposed seams are very abrasive, especially in the sleeves. Went right back. Will stick with my old tee and cross my fingers they bring that style back.......

Rated 1 out of 5 by Madforelton BeanSport Quarter Zip Pullover - WHY CHANGE IT??!!
I am SO DISAPPOINTED in how you changed this particular shirt. Just like your Perfect Fit Pants, the original version of this shirt was PERFECT and did not need any changes, except for maybe adding more colors like maybe Petal Pink (best LL Bean Pink Color EVER!) The original item # was 268923. I must have bought about 30 White ones, 6 in the Coastal Blue (a nice lighter blue color) and 1 in Black. Everything about the original style was great. If I knew you were going to change it, I would have bought tons more to tide me over for years! The new style looks unflattering. First - woman don't need thumb holes in the sleeves - that is for teens. 2nd, I hate when my shirts are longer in the back than in the front. 3rd, who needs all that seaming on the front and sleeves?? PLEASE consider going back to the original style - it really was PERFECT!! This shirt would also look so nice on women in the Petal Pink color!! It is a true pale pastel Pink with no ugly blue undertones. I would highly recommend the original style, but not this revised one, sorry. Thank you!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by eurekabeaner scratchy cover stitching
I have 2 very similar shirts from LLB, 1 from 4 yrs ago not called a Beansport at that time in a bit denser heavier fabric (temps 50's - 70's), and 1 from 2 yrs ago in a llighter more open knit like the other Beansport tops that season (warmer summer temps). I like them alot for hiking and was coming back for more. This shirt has many of the good features, fabric weight was in between the other 2 and mostly fit the same. It might be my imagination that the fabric is not as silky soft inside and that the slight redesign of the arm-underarm-side seaming left the underarms a bit tighter. Medium fits me snugly in all 3 (plump 5'0", 38"-31"-39"). (Of course, arms are way too long - see earlier review - smiley face) But it is not my imagination that the cover-stitching on the inside seams is just hard and scratchy, making that underarm tightness very noticeable the minute I put it on. Seems unlikely that washing would soften them, and might still chafe & rub under pack straps even in a loose Large - not going to risk it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by currion Why can't bean make a shirt with sleeves that fit?
I really liked this shirt. The teal blast color was great, the fabric and body fit looked nice. But I am giving up on trying to order llbean long sleeve anything and hoping that it will finally fit. The sleeves on all the long sleeve shirts, activewear and outerwear are just too short. I am not even that tall!!! at 5'10" I can buy regular fit shirts with long enough sleeves at a lot of other online and regular retailers. Do the women in New England just have much shorter arms than the rest of us???? At least if you can't change the dimension of the regular shirts, make a long version.
